"What do you mean he threatened to shoot you?" Jamie asked taken aback as we lay sprawled out across his bed.

When I called Jamie asking if I could stay with him, I had no real intentions of telling him about Hunter's threat. When I arrived at Jamie's we were greeted by his three other flatmates all of them shared a four bedroom student house with a shared bathroom. They were warm and welcoming to me and informed me Jamie had told them about me. It was when Jamie was being really sweet and told me he knew something was wrong that I blurted out what happened.

"I don't think he meant it" I offered.

"Harper-Rose, you know that's fucked up. He threatened to kill you. Tell your dad. You can't live with him anymore." I shook my head at the suggestion. "Harper-Rose, someone held a gun to your head on our first date and now this. That guy is bad news and you're going to get severely hurt if you don't do something about it soon."

Being held at gunpoint had honestly left my head since Hunter kissed me for the first time that night. I know it's stupid that a kiss stayed in my head longer than something as serious as  having a gun held to my head but it really did slip my mind. Hunter's kindness after my dads visit was another reason why I'd forgotten about the events that suggested there was something dodgy about Hunter.

"I don't think the gun thing on our first date was his fault. I can't tell my dad because it will affect his business with Hunter's dad and my dad would be furious about that."

"What about your safety, though. Doesn't your dad care if you live somewhere safe?" Jamie pressed. Instead of letting him know that my dad didn't care I just nodded and pretended my dad did care about me.

"Please just give me a few days and I'll talk to Hunter and if he doesn't explain everything to me then I'll tell my dad" I offered. To this, Jamie nodded in agreement.

"Fine but I'm not having you go back there alone. Stay with me tonight then we'll go back and get you some more things to stay with me for the rest of the week" Jamie said pulling me in for a chaste kiss. I smiled at him but my stomach knotted telling me something was missing.

"Thanks, Jamie" I smiled leaning over to kiss his cheek.

He pulled me in for a hug and kissed my hair then pulled away before looking at me and kissing my mouth. The kiss started off slowly and sweetly - better than Jamie's usual kisses. Then suddenly it became really heated, instinctively I wrapped my arms around Jamie's neck pulling him in closer to me. His hands started wandering down the sides of my body but before his hands could reach my ass we were interrupted by the sound of my phone ringing. Jamie groaned and began kissing my neck as I checked to see who it was. "It's Hunter" I said out loud.

"Ignore it" Jamie said as he continued to kiss my neck. I did just that. I ignored Hunter.

No, Jamie and I didn't have sex. I didn't feel ready to sleep with him yet and I could kind of tell he was a bit annoyed when I eventually pulled away from his touch but no means no and he had to respect that. Jamie was making us dinner as we both contemplated what the next course of action for what happens with Hunter should be. Since Jamie and I's makeout session, Hunter had left me ten missed calls. I had three from Savannagh and one from her now boyfriend, Jake. Hunter must have went round to her flat to see if I was there. God knows how he found out where she lived or how he had access to her number but it was Hunter after all. He was able to find out anything he wanted to. When Jamie was making dinner I had decided that I was going to call Savannagh to stop her from worrying about me.

"Harper, oh my god!" Savannagh's voice sounded through the phone.

"What's up?" I asked pretending like I didn't think anything was going on.
