"Savannagh and I will stay here all week in preparation for your dad coming. So Hunter is going to find out if his dad is involved. If not Hunter is going to tell his dad everything and get him to lure both your dads here, right?" Jake asked going through the plan we had been creating for the past four hours.
Jake was surprised as Savannagh was after finding out my secret. He told me he knew something was up the other night when he got to Sav's flat and she was already drunk. Tom and Jamie had planned it to make sure she couldn't ruin them exposing me but he didn't realise there was so much more to the secret.
We all nodded in response to Jake, "Maybe you could act like a client for Hunter's dad if he is involved" Savannagh offered.
"No fucking way!" Hunter snapped.
Savannagh rolled her eyes, "Not like that. She won't have to do anything with him just go to dinner and extract any kind of information you can from him" she suggested.
We all took in the suggestion but Hunter still wasn't buying it and pulled out his phone presumably to call his dad. He put the phone on speaker and we all stayed silent as it rang.
"Hello" Ashton's voice sounded.
"Hey, dad, you busy?" Hunter asked casually.
"Of course not. What's up, Hunter?"
"It's Harper..."
"You know, son, I was expecting this call sooner or later." We all looked at each other in surprise but Hunter continued with the call.
"You were?"
"Harper-Rose's father has been in touch asking if I've heard from you or her. Has she ran away? He said she has a tendency to do that" I sighed a sigh of relief as it told me he wasn't involved.
"She's with me now, she's fine. I threw her phone away-"
"Why would you do that, Hunter? Her dad is waiting one more day then getting the police involved. He's going to report her missing!" Shit! I looked at Hunter with panicked eyes and nodded at him giving him permission to tell his dad the truth.
"Dad, the truth is I threw Harper's phone away so she could have freedom from her dad. He's been trafficking her since she was 14 - I-We need your help."
Hunter's dad gasped in shock and remained silent for quite some time before finding the words to speak again, "I knew there was something suspicious about that bastard. The way he speaks about her with me and how she actually is are completely different. That poor, poor girl" his dad exclaimed sympathetically.
"I know dad, it's awful. So, can you help us? If you don't believe me you can ask her dad himself and see his reaction but please help us first."
"Son, I trust you. Just let me know what I can do and I'll do it."
"Bring him here on Saturday. That gives us a few days to prepare. Let him know that you've heard from us and that Harper is safe just say something like she's having a hissy fit so it might be better for the two of you to visit us and check up on things" Hunter suggested.
"And from there what are you going to do?"
"We'll get a confession out of him somehow. Savannagh and Jake are staying here the rest of the week. When you get here, they will be in a room each and whichever room he goes into first they'll lock him in until he confesses."
"Is it safe leaving him alone with a female? Maybe Savannagh should stay with Harper so he has to put on a kind of front with her" Hunter's dad was quiet in thought for a moment, "what if we act like Savannagh is one of Harper's neighbours. She could wait in the lobby and we could send some signal to let her know to contact the police. Hmm I think I've got an idea that might work" Ashton spoke firmly.
