Television

Debuted at the New York World's Fair,

Some, a trick, did of it think;

Broadcasts repeatedly did air,

The world slowly did shrink.

New and views did travel quick,

Entertainment at our fingertips;

Choices and channels at a click,

People, in its lure, tightly grips.

And four score years later,

The Idiot box does hold sway;

To our whims it appears to cater,

But has enslaved us night and day.
