Television
Debuted at the New York World's Fair,
Some, a trick, did of it think;
Broadcasts repeatedly did air,
The world slowly did shrink.
New and views did travel quick,
Entertainment at our fingertips;
Choices and channels at a click,
People, in its lure, tightly grips.
And four score years later,
The Idiot box does hold sway;
To our whims it appears to cater,
But has enslaved us night and day.
