Chapter 15: 'AMOR' !!

"Xander?!" Cynthia squealed in happiness and ran to hug him making Alexander chuckle at her childish behaviour.

"Xander! How are you? Look how thin you have become. Aren't you having your meals properly? Are you so busy in work? Stop doing things like your father. He doesn't know anything. Please take care of your eating habits. I don't want..." Cynthia kept asking him in a worried tone while keeping her right palm on his left cheek. Xander loved his mother a lot. And before she could even go further with her questionnaire, Xander put a stop to it. "Easy there Momma!" When she stopped and gave him her million watt smile, he complimented her "You look pretty like always!" Cynthia broke into a subtle laughter and said "Ok, I got that!"

"Now stop buttering me up! I liked the girl!" Cynthia said hugging him.

"You did?" Xander asked in a surprised tone breaking in hug a little.

"Yeah! As I told you before, I already liked her when I heard about her. But yeah, after meeting her today, I like her even more; rather I love her. Good Choice!!" Cynthia said with a happy smile on her face.

"Thanks Momma! And let me make this clear, I wasn't buttering you okay?" Xander said showing her his index finger in a playful manner and they broke into laughter.

Their little get together had caught everyone's attention especially the girl dressed in black. Sierra felt happy looking at the bond they shared. Looking at Xander, she wondered why they called him ruthless and a heartless king? For her he always appeared good and caring. And the scene in front of her was the biggest and the best proof anyone could ask for.

"How are you son?" Alexander asked Xander once he made his way towards the mother and son duo.

"I am fine dad! How are you?" Xander hugged his dad with a bright smile on his face.

"I am good! And she is pretty. I like her too. She is good for you and this house." Alexander said with a nod of his head. Xander could read his eyes which said 'yes, that he truly liked his daughter – in – law'.

"I did run a background check after that incident. Everything looks fine except the thing which you told me. I know you are taking care of that." Alexander said when his mind drifted back to the fiasco with Mason. "I can't risk my family members' safety here. And she is family." Alexander added in a serious tone to which Xander nodded his head in agreement.

"So, when are you guys getting married?" Alexander's question threw Cynthia in shock but Xander appeared calm and composed as he had anticipated this question from his father.

"God Alex, you can't ask him that! I am sure he didn't ask her yet. Isn't it Xander?" Cynthia stated in a shocked tone while looking back at Xander and he simply nodded indicating that he hasn't asked her yet.

"Ask? Why does he have to ask? She doesn't have a choice honey." Alexander stated in an obvious tone that irked Cynthia.

"Don't make me punch you on your face Alex!" Cynthia snapped at Alexander's indifference in her son's matter.

"Watch your tone Cynthia!" Alexander snapped back in a dark tone and before they both could go any further, Xander stepped in saying;

"Guys wait! Dad, I want to marry her. Yes, I want to. But I don't want to impose my decision on her like that. She is mine and I will make sure of that. But, I want to talk to her first and make her feel comfortable. I love her and I know she likes me! But, I want to give her a choice and of course some time."

"Don't even think about it. You won't be able to do that" Alexander said while showing Xander his index finger as a warning. He raised his hand in air indicating that he wasn't done when Xander tried to interrupt him. "The day you meet the girl of your dreams or your soul mate; whatever you choose to call, you won't be able to wait. With the blood running in you, you won't be able to hold back." Alexander stated in a serious yet obvious tone leaving Xander a little puzzled and Cynthia to shoot daggers at her husband.
