Alexandra pulled her knees to her chest. Her heart ached as she heard the news, sobs shaking her body. Sylver could only hold her close and let her cry. Let every emotion escape her small frame. "What happened?" She asked, her voice breaking.

"She was shot. We don't know who did it yet," Luke tried not to cry himself. he watched the fragile girl break a little bit more. One of her dearest friends found dead. Shot and left of the sidewalk. She lowered her head and curled into Sylver. She felt like she'd never stop crying, like the pain she felt so long ago had come rushing back, stabbing her all over again.

"Thank you, Luke," Sylver said, the boy walking away soon after. He settled Alexandrea on his lap, holding her close to him, running his fingers through her hair. He bit his lip, trying to stay strong for her. All he could think about was the way Cassandra had thanked him. Thanked him for saving her friend when he didn't know. Thanked him for making her smile again. He promised not to leave the girl unless necessary, and to let her plan the wedding if it ever happened. He knew how she helped Alex through everything and had been a great friend. He also hurt for her sister. The girl who now had no family left, who had her sister ripped from her in a brutal way. "Al,"

"Allie's alone. Alone. And the worst part is that I sort of know what she feels like. Not in the way that I saw Cassandra as a sister, but something else. It hurts Sy," She slipped her hand into his, interlocking their finger's. She squeezed it, grounding herself. She didn't wan to drift off into the land that was her head. The dark forest with gnarled trees and beady eyed creatures with jagged canines.

He kissed the top of her head, causing a reluctant smile to appear on her face. "I know. But, Your strong and I know that soon you will look back and only see the good times you spent with her. Her helping you get ready yesterday. Her being by your side. And, right now, we also need to be strong for Allie." He let out a long breath, scared of her response to the next suggestion. "I think we should go and see her, so you two can talk," To his surprise, she agreed.

She pulled back and he wiped the remnants of the tears from her face. She tried to push back the pain she was feeling, knowing that Allie had it worst. She had lost her sibling, the worst pain you could feel. She stood up to see Sylver waving his arms to be helped up. "Nope," She said. Yet, his pout made her give in and help him.

They walked towards the house. The streets were quiet -eerily quiet - as everyone stayed in their houses. Everyone knew what had happened. That someone had murdered the leader of them all and now they had no idea what to do. The few people that passed them kept their heads low. "Wow... It's like the apocalypse," Sylver whispered as they walked down the street. Allie's house in view.

"I guess more people are in mourning than I thought there would be," She stated. She knew that they weren't mourning. They were scared. Cassandra had given them hope and now that she had been shot in the middle of the street, everyone was terrified. A murder in the midst of everyone was enough to unsettle every teenager in the town.

Alexandrea knocked on the door, taking a deep breath. She had no idea what was going on in the house. The door swung open to reveal Will. He gave her a thankful smile. "Can I talk to her?"

"You're probably the best to talk to her out of all of us," He motioned them to come inside. Everyone was as quiet as the street. Most standing in their own space, head held low. "She's in her room,"

"Thank you, Will," She jogged up the stairs, wanting to get out of the tense area. She knocked on the door that belonged to Allie, her heart dropping.

"Come in," A croaked voice sounded from in the room. She hesitated, but opened the door. Allie lay curled up in her bed. She turned her head to see Alex stood in the doorway. "Hey," She patted to the area of the bed beside her. Alex climbed under the covers, giving the girl a sad smile.

"Come here," She pulled Allie into an akward hug, making the sad girl laugh slightly.

"How did you deal with it?" Allie asked, muffled as she held onto Alexandrea. Trying not to cry, again.

"To be honest, in the worst way possible. I cut everyone off, Grizz, Harry, Campbell. The people who were there and would understand the most. I turned angry and shouted at my mum and dad for so long, when my mum left... My dad was the only person left to hate. I regret it so much. I also did things to myself which I regret, drinking - Just a lot of stuff I shouldn't have done," Allie pulled away, looking at Alex who had a far off look in her eyes. "I finally tried to reach out again after a while, but Grizz was the only one who came back. It was after that I realised how much I messed up. But I also learnt that after a while, you start to remember the good things again. The way they hugged you while you watched your first horror movie, or the way they bought you that bracelet you never take off..."

"Is that your long winded way of saying don't be like me because it gets better?" Allie tried to joke, pulling the girl out of the spiral she was falling down. She nodded her head, letting out an airy laugh.

"It does, especially since you have me. I am taking this chance to declare you my sister. I promise to be there through the good and the bad. Even when you push me away I will still had your hand and comfort you. Us sisters have to stick together." Alex said. Allied smiled. Something she thought she would be incapable of for a long time. Both of them would forever have a part of them missing, but at least they had each other. They both understood the pain of loosing a sibling before their time. Which made them stronger together.
