Everyone stood around, listening to Sam. Alex stood by Sylver as he put an arm around her soulder, holding her close to him. She didn't want to believe what was being said. She couldn't.

"There's a reason why we never had a dog growing up. We had a bird one time, when I was little," Becca translated for him, "It was yellow and green. His name was Oliver. It vanished from its cage one day, and I went to see if it got outside somehow... because the window was open. I saw Campbell playing with it. And he cut his wings off. Fully off. And was watching it try to walk away. Try to fly... with his bloody stumps. It kept losing its balance and falling over. My parent's tried to hide the truth from people. Pretending that he was just a difficult kid. Like a normal version of a problem child. Anti-social and moody, but Campbell is not a normal version of anything. They had him tested. He's a psychopath,"

"Fuck," Grizz said. Alex stormed out of the house, her breathing heavy. She ran her hands through her hair.

"Alex!" Sylver and Grizz followed her out of the house onto the front yard.

"No, he's lying. H-he's lying,"

"Alex! Are you really that supprised?" Sylver asked her. She turned to face him, wiping the tears from her eyes. She did. Just like most people would when they find out their friends a Psychopath. Her brain ran with all the times he show emotion, distorting them.

"Yes! You didn't see him that day, Sylver. He was scared, a-and upset, a-and he... he cried. You saw it Grizz. He showed emotion! A-A sociopath I could understand, but he- " She took a shaky breath, "I don't believe it,"

"Alex, Psychopaths are great at mimicking, to fit in with society-"

"No Grizz! He helped me. If he was a Psychopath, he would have just let me to rot in my own mind,"

"Not if he get something off you. You're loved by everyone. Being seen with you made him look like a good person-"

"Stop. Just stop. I need some time alone," She turned around walking away into the darkness, heading for her own house. She needed quiet. She needed to think, but she couldn't. The thoughts made it impossible. She wanted Sam to be wrong, but she couldn't help but shake the thought that he was right. That her ex-best friend - and ex-crush - was a psychopath and using her to win at his own perverse, wicked game. She walked down the road, kicking loose stones. Her mind then ran back to him and Elle. If he was a psychopath, was he hurting her? He wouldn't do that, would he? She tried to push the thoughts out of her head.

Footsteps approached behind her. She spun around to see Grizz and walking up to her. She stopped, allowing them to catch up. Grizz engulfed her in a bear hug, swaying them side to side. Alexandrea laughed before pulling away and turning to Sylver. He had a sheepish look on his face, like he was a child on the naughty step. She walked closer and pecked him on the lips before hugging him. When they pulled a part, all three stood in an awkward silence. None of them knowing what to say next. "You know we love you, Cat. And if you think he isn't, we'll trust you,"

"That's the thing. I don't know. So much had changed since we were little kids playing truth and dare. I-I just want to believe he's not, but I can't shake the feeling I have," She lowered her head, ashamed. She didn't know how to feel. She was ashamed about even allowing herself to think in such way about an old friend. Then she felt guilty about exploding on her best friend and her boyfriend like that. Then she felt like she was stupid because she should have noticed it sooner.

"Hey, it's okay to be confused. It's okay to be conflicted, but just know that you have an amazing friend and - an even more amazing - boyfriend," Alex laughed and looked at Grizz. Grizz feigned hurt but laughed as well. "Who will always be there for you," Alex couldn't thank the boys enough for what they did for her. How they helped her everyday. She knew she was broken, but just being around them helped her to feel normal, and that she was finally filling in the various gaps. She held her arms out for a group hug and the boys complied. They would have stayed their longer, if the heavens didn't open up. All of them gasped as the cold water poured down, drenching them.
