"Hey, Liam. It's important. Nolan and the lacrosse team. Their gonna try and make you shift in front of everyone."
Shift? What? Was he really a werewolf? Was he like Malia?

"That can't happen!" Mason said.

"Okay, I don't want to seem rude or intrusive but, can someone please tell me what is going on. I'm sick of not knowing anything. I know there's something... different about Liam, but, can someone please tell me what it is? I promise I won't judge!"
I looked at Liam. Liam sighed and closed his eyes.

"Don't freak out." Then he opened them.

"Werewolf." He answered my unspoken question. His eyes were a bright yellow.

"So, like can you control it?" I asked, trying to calm down.

"Yeah, most of the time. So what are we going to do?" Liam asked.

"Liam go with Corey. Me and Sophya will lead the way. I nodded, though I wasn't sure you this was going to work. Suddenly Corey and Liam disappeared.

"Okay, so all of you are, like, different?" I asked, trying not to sound offensive.

"Nope. I'm human." Mason replied.

"Okay, good, this way I don't feel left out." Mason chuckled.

"Let's go." Corey insisted.

We got out of the classroom and I led the way with Mason, but there were huge lacrosse players at every exit.

"Shit." I said under my breath.

"What now?" Corey asked.

"Okay, turn around! Turn around!" We turned when we came face to face with Nolan. He was smirking and when he removed his hand from his pocket it was full of white powder.
He immediately threw it at where Corey was standing. Making them visible again.

Someone grabbed Liam from behind, and threw him on the ground.

"NO!" Me and Mason said at the same time.
I tried to run over to help him, but two boys were holding me back. I fought but it didn't work.
They were holding right on top of my stitches. I squinted through the pain. No. I wasn't going to show any sign of pain or weakness. I was not going to make this harder for Liam in any way.

I saw Nolan and his friend grab Liam and throw him in the class room. "Get up!" Nolan said. Liam just stayed there. I heard him muttering under his voice. I recognized the words at once, having said them many times.

"The sun, the moon and the truth." Yes it was. Three things that cannot be long hidden. It was a Buddhist saying, and I used it to help me control my emotions. Jenna's friend Josette had taught me it, though I'd usually just rather get out of control than try to control it.
