*Liam's POV*
I got up the next day having gotten no sleep at all. My eyes had dark circles around them. The Berserkers were gone, and so was Kate, but I still was terrified of them. I had been a werewolf for less than a month and was already missing when my life was relatively normal. Before the bite. I got up from my bed. Today I had school. Today I could act normal for once. I met Mason like usual and joined the rest of the pack. Stiles was talking to Y/N and Malia, and I approached to listen in.
"But soon we're all going to go our separate ways. My dad said he and his friends from school don't ever contact each other."
Y/N looked distressed by this and looked down at her shoelaces.
Soon Scott and Theo arrived and they dropped the subject. Sophya seemed to become aware that I was there. She smiled and I was relieved that she was not angry at me. She came and hugged me.
"Hi," She said, and I hugged back.
"How did you sleep?"
"Fine," I answered untruthfully.
"Yeah, me neither." She said seeing right through my lie.
"So, do you feel like skipping class today? I'm sorry for being a bad influence. I just don't want to deal with classes right now," She explained.
"Okay, sure. Absolutely." She looked at me happily, and we set off away from the school. We set off into the woods and sat down under the leafy canopy.
"What do normal people do?" She asked.
"I don't know."
"Come on! You know you used to be one!" I laughed at this and turned to her. She was smiling and was calm as if nothing had happened yesterday, or the days before that.
*Y/N POV*
Liam seemed to be deep in thought. He was staring at me as if he hadn't ever seen any evil in me. It made me calm.
"Liam?" I said, and this made him look away, embarrassed that he had been staring.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Thanks for being here with me,"
"Yeah, no problem." He said. I lied down on the floor full of leaves and stared straight up at the sky and the bits of light that were getting through the leafy roof.
"Do you want to talk about anything?" Liam asked.
"Liam, if you stayed up all night, I'm guessing you already have enough problems of your own," I said, chuckling.
"No. I want to hear it. Maybe I can help you." I was grateful at that moment but I wasn't going to add my problems to his list.
"Maybe we should head back to school," I suggested, and got up, but I didn't get far before Liam grabbed my hand.
