Chapter 11 - Astrid Pt.2

End of Chapter 10 -

"Thank you...?"

"Oh, sorry! I'm Y/N. I came here with my friend, the Doctor. You are?"

"Astrid Peth. I work here as a waitress." She pushes her hand forward for you to shake, and you do. She smiles at you, which you return. "So, never been on a Max Capricorn cruiseliner? It's really impressive what he has created."

"Lovely to meet you, Astrid. Let me help you pick everything up. No, I've never been on a boat, let alone a space-boat." You chuckle. You pick up the last shard of glass and place it on the tray. "I'll catch you later, Astrid. Got to find the Doctor! See ya!" You wave and wander around looking for the Doctor as Astrid watches you, smiling.

This was going to be the start of a great friendship.

Turns out, Max Capricorn Industries wasn't all the cruisers thought they were. The Heavenly Host, which were supposed to be helpful robots, were assigned to kill the travellers and crash the ship into Earth. Meanwhile, Max will be encased in an 'omnistate impact chamber', which will protect him. His plan was to sue the company so he can become rich and retire early. What an asshole.

"Y/N. We can't let him succeed. Everyone on this ship and the planet below will die if that nuclear drive explodes. What do we do? Any ideas?"

"We kill Max." You say, raging with anger at his plan.

"No! No killing. I can't handle killing." The Doctor warms, glaring at you.

"Everyone split up. Y/N, you go look in kitchen number 6 and see if there's any survivors. Astrid and Rick, you two take Mr Copper to the reception and blast any Heavenly Hosts you find with Bannakaffalatta's EMP. I'm going to find Max. If anything goes wrong, relay it to me immediately."

"Doctor?" You ask, running after him and grabbing his arm. "You bet careful. You can't leave me without saying goodbye."

"I'm not leaving anyone. I'll be back for you, I promise." He grabs the tops of your arms, pulling you into him and kissing your forehead. "See you later."

"Bye..." You whisper as he runs off.

You walk into one of the many kitchens of the Titanic, and find yourself surrounded by six Heavenly Host and the bodies of their victims. "Uh, hi?"

"You are unauthorised. You must die."

"Override Number one! One!" You shout, holding your hands out in front of you.

"You have three questions. What are they?"

"Why are you doing this, why kill so many people?"

"Information. We were instructed by Max Capricorn."

"Okay... that's not good. Where is he?"

"Information. Location unknown."

"Ugh! Okay, one question left... think Y/N." What would the Doctor do? "Ah! So, Max Capricorn, big character. Can you tell me everything we need to know about him?"

"Information..."

The Doctor's P.O.V

I hope Y/N's okay on her own. This was supposed to be a calm break away, not some Christmas tragedy. I need to go find her. No, Doctor, finish what you started when you came down to Deck 31.
