Chapter 30 - Kidnapped

End of Chapter 29 -

The Doctor looks at you for support. You choose to comfort him by wrapping him in a tight, bone-crushing hug. He reciprocates this, wrapping his arms around your waist as his head burrows into your neck. Your arms move to his neck, holding him in place. It wasn't long before you felt tears fall onto your neck as the Doctor began to cry. The thought of not saving those innocent girls from the Saturnyns must really be upsetting him. You unwrap your arms from his neck and move your hands to grasp either side of his face. "Doctor, we'll find a way to find them, okay? We've done it before and we can do it again. I believe in us." You whisper and place a kiss on his forehead.

He gives you a small smile though his tears and replies, "okay."

The Doctor removes his hands from your waist and turns away from you. He faces the others with tears still in his eyes. You turn too and reach out for his hand, holding it tightly as he begins to speak. "The vampires aren't really vampires, we knew that already. There has to be a way to defeat them or send them back home. Either way, we need to save Venice and everyone at the school under her influence. Anyone been working on a plan?"

"I know the plans to the school, Doctor. I can draw up blueprints for it which will set you all up nicely to enter and save the girls." Guido says calmly, turning on his heel and running to get paper.

"Once we have the blueprints, we can find a weak point in their structure and enter there." You say, looking up at the others and the Doctor. "After all my time with you, I have picked up a few tricks I never knew I could. Like, for example, reading blueprints. I learnt from the best." You smile.

"Fabulous, Y/N. Amy, Rory, anything from you two?" The Doctor beams.

"We'll scout the school and alert you when something looks 'fishy'." Amy answers for the both of them, grabbing Rory's hand and pulling him away from the table to follow Guido.

"This is going to work, Doctor. It can't not work." You say slowly, tightening your grip on his hand. "I don't know what to do if it doesn't work."

The House of Calvierri

Rosanna is sat in the courtroom as Francesco enters with something behind him. Someone behind him. She has yet another wine glass, as Francesco walks proudly holding a girl by the arm. The girl is frantically kicking and screaming, her hair thrashing from side to side as she twists in Francesco's hold. Francesco looks to his mother before tightening his hold on the girl's arm. "Your sacrifice is necessary for the future of our species, little one. My son here, he's hungry. He needs sustenance, as do I. That sustenance is your blood, dear. We need your blood. Now, there is one more person we need. Amelia Pond. She's not from her own time, and quite frankly, she looks rather delicious. A worthy sacrifice to my sons. Find her, Francesco, I'll take care of this one." Rosanna states, pointing towards the doorway of the courtroom.

"Yes, Mother. Right away." Francesco replies, bowing slightly to his mother before leaving. He lets go of the girl and throws her to the ground.

The girl falls to the floor, holding her arm in a desperate attempt to stop the pain from where Francesco was gripping her so tightly. Rosanna stands from her throne and grabs the girl's arm, just as her son done moments ago. She runs her finger over the girl's chin, releasing her long nails as she does so. "This won't hurt a bit, dear." Rosanna whispers into the girl's ear as one of her nails slices the girl's throat. Blood begins to pour out as the girl falls to the floor once again, only this time she is lifeless. Rosanna reaches for her wine glass and places it under the girl's throat, collecting as much blood as she can. She then raises the glass to her lips and takes a sip. "Now for Amelia Pond."

Outside of the School

"Does everyone know where they're going and what they're doing?" The Doctor checks, holding his hands out to his sides.

"Yep!" You all answer.

"Brilliant! Y/N, you're with me! Geronimo!" The Doctor chirps.

"Good luck guys!" You shout as the Doctor pulls you towards the entrance of the House of Calvierri.

The Doctor comes to a sudden halt and you smack into his back. "Doctor, what's going on? Why did you stop?" You lean over his shoulder and whisper. He doesn't reply, instead he shakes his head towards the scene. Several of the girls you once saw in the basement and out of Guido's window were walking in a single-file line towards the back of the Calvierri House. They were following a woman, who you assumed to be Rosanna. "Doctor, what do we do?"

"We have a job to do, Y/N. Save these girls. That's what we're going to do." 

Amy's P.O.V.

"Shouldn't we wait for the Doctor, Amy?" Rory asks. He walks in front of me and places both of his hands on each of my shoulders.

"The Doctor was very clear on what we have to do, Rory. You know that. The mission is to save the girls if we can and return them to their families. We need to get into the courtroom and find a control deck or something. It would be disguised to blend in with the time period we're in. The Doctor said there was a throne, we'll start there." I pull myself away from Rory and storm into the school.

"Amy! Look out!" Rory shouts behind me. I turn around to face him with a glare before a hand pulls me away from my fiance. "Amy!" Rory screams out as Francesco knocks him unconscious.

"Rory!" I cry and Francesco slaps me to shut me up. "No..."

"Come on, darling. We need your assistance." Francesco chuckles before dragging me away from Rory, who lies on the floor. "Your 'Doctor' will come find him, don't panic."

Rory's P.O.V.

I wake up in a haze, my head pounding and my cheek puffy. I place my hand on my cheek and rub slightly before standing up. I wobble slightly but regain my balance. I need to find the Doctor. He'll know what to do. Y/N will know what to do. 

Frantically running out of the courtroom and down the halls to the courtyard, I spot Y/N and the Doctor watching the vampires from behind a fountain. "Y/N! Doctor!" I shout, causing them to turn round at lightning speeds. "They've got her! They've got Amy!" I panic, crouching down next to Y/N. They looked just as shocked as I did. 

"We have to find her and finish this, once and for all." Y/N angrily states, their eyebrows frowning  and their eyes irate. "Don't worry, Rory. I'll make them pay for everything they've done. Who took her?"

"Francesco. It was Francesco." I cry out, causing the girls to turn and Rosanna to snarl, bearing her teeth at us. They all begin to charge in our direction, Rosanna holds back and taps something on her side. A cloaking device. The cloaking disappears to reveal a fish-humanoid, with long nails and long fangs. She looks like an eel and scorpion/lobster hybrid, the head of an eel and the body of a scorpion or a lobster. It's hard to tell what something looks like when you're running away from it.

"Shit." We all say in unison before getting up and running for our lives.
