End of Chapter 22 -

You stare in shock. This version of the Doctor is too human, he's willing to sacrifice everything and everyone on board. "Just wait for the Doctor." You whisper, earning a glare from him.

"I am the Doctor." He states, pushing you out the way. "Maximising Dalekanium power feeds, blasting them back!"

"What have you done?" You whisper, looking around as all the Daleks begin to explode. You glance over at Dalek Ghac and he explodes too, even though he is already dead. "Doctor, what have you done?!"

"Fulfilling the prophecy." He answers in an almost demonic tone, staring at you. You wince, this isn't like the Doctor at all. He's a completely different person, just the same DNA and brain power. This isn't your Doctor.

You continue to stare at the Metacrisis-Doctor in horror, you couldn't believe he just committed genocide of the Daleks. They are despicable but they really do not deserve this, every once in a while there is a good Dalek like Ghac, who gave his life for you. Dalek Caan too, who has been overseeing the whole interaction between the Doctor and Davros. "Doctor, look what you have done. Look at them. The prophecy was wrong, they didn't deserve this." You reason, stepping forward to face him fully.

"The prophecy must have been fulfilled. I'm sorry, Y/N." He blankly says and turns around, darting to the TARDIS.

Your Doctor exits the TARDIS to see the destruction the Metacrisis-Doctor has created. "Do you know what you have done? Get in the TARDIS! Everyone! All of you, inside!" The Doctor shouts. Everyone turns around and runs for the TARDIS. However, you stand still and watch the Daleks burn and explode. Everywhere you look, you see destruction. Dalek Caan looks at you for a brief moment before exploding. "Y/N! Get in the TARDIS!" The Doctor shouts, running towards you and grabbing your hand. He pulls you with him as he returns to the TARDIS.

Still staring at the destruction, you pull your hand away from the Doctor's. You glance back before turning your gaze to Davros. "Davros, come with us. We can save you." You offer, holding your hand out to him.

"Y/N, the most confused companion. The Doctor is forever named the Destroyer of the Worlds. I'd rather die here than be a prisoner on the TARDIS for all eternity." He sternly replies, folding his arms and leaning back in the support system.

"We can save you! Find you a new planet! Come with us!"  You shout.

"Never!" He returns as a plank of Dalekanium falls on him, killing him instantly. A tear falls down your cheek as you continue to stare at him.

"Y/N, we need to go!" The Doctor shouts, "now! Come on, Y/N!" You turn around as tears stream down your face. The Doctor reaches out to you once more, and pulls you into the TARDIS. Turning to face the door, you place your hand on the wood and rest your head on the window. You've never seen so much death and destruction. Even when facing the Master, it was never this gruesome.

"Y/N... come on. We need to fly the Earth back home." Martha says, wandering over to you and placing her hands on your shoulders to turn you round.

"I can't do this Martha, not again. I want to leave." You say, looking down.

"The Doctor needs you, Y/N. He's lost without you." Jack joins you both. "I was with him in the Vault, as they played the film of you dying. He looked so lost and angry."

"I can't handle the aftermath of the adventures anymore, especially after the Daleks. I just can't." You cry. Martha embraces you again and you begin to sob into her shoulder. "The Doctor can find someone else, who can handle the mess he makes, that person isn't me anymore."

Everyone crowds around the TARDIS console as the Doctor flies around telling them what to do to fly the Earth home. You remain next to the door with your arms folded, looking down at the floor. Martha gives you a smile before moving to the console. Jack wraps his arm around your shoulders, pulling you into him. "Torchwood, I want you to open up that Rift Manipulator and send all the power to me. It'll act as a tow rope. Luke and Mr Smith, harness the rift's power and loop it around the TARDIS." The Doctor instructs Torchwood and Sarah Jane's son back on Earth.

"I regret I will need remote access to TARDIS base code numerals." Mr Smith answers. Luke looks at the control desk then back to the screen.

"Let me! K-9, out you come!" Sarah Jane states as she moves to the screen, and a metal dog teleports into the attic. "K-9, give Mr Smith the base code."

"Now then, you lot. You know why this TARDIS always is rattling around the place? It's designed to have six pilots, and I have to do it single handed. But not anymore. Now we can fly this thing, like it's meant to be flown. We've got the Torchwood Rift looped around the TARDIS by Mr Smith, and we're going to fly Planet Earth back home. Allons-y!" The Doctor explains and pulls the main lever.

Planet Earth is back where it should be, and everyone is back home. Martha left with Jack and Mickey, Sarah Jane rushed back to her son and Rose and Jackie are back in the parallel universe. Which leaves you, the Doctor and Donna in the TARDIS.

"I thought we could try the planet Felspoon. What a good name, Felspoon. Apparently, it's got mountains that sway in the breeze. Mountains that move, can you imagine?" Donna rambles. You give her a soft smile and then return your gaze to the floor.

"How do you know that?" You whisper.

"It's in the Doctor's head, and if it's in his head then it's in mine."

"How does that feel?" The Doctor asks.

"Brilliant! Fantastic! Molto bene! Great big universe, packed into my brain. You know you could fix that chameleon circuit if you just tried hotbinding the fragment links and superseding the binary, binary, binary, binary, binary, binary, binary, binary, binary, binary, binary, binary, binary, binary. I'm fine. Nah, never mind Felspoon. You know who I'd like to meet? Charlie Chaplin. I bet he's great, Charlie Chaplin. Shall we do that? Shall we go and see Charlie Chaplin? Shall we? Charlie Chaplin? Charlie Chester. Charlie Brown. No, he's fiction. Friction, fiction, fixing, mixing, Rickston, Brixton." Donna gasps, reaching up for her head and falling to the floor. You rush off of the chair and run to her, catching her before she falls completely. "Oh my God."

"Doctor, what's happening to her?" You panic, looking up at him.

"There's never been a Human-Time Lord metacrisis before now, because there can't be."

"I want to stay." Donna begins to cry, and you cry with her.

"The rest of my life, travelling in the TARDIS. The Doctor Donna. No. Oh my God, I can't go back. Don't make me go back. Doctor, please, don't make me go back." Donna begins crying harder than before. The Doctor crouches down to where you both are and puts his hands on either side of her head. Is he wiping her memory of us?

"Doctor?" You ask but don't get an answer back. Instead, the Doctor slumps to the floor with both hands over his face. Donna lays in your arms, unconscious. "Is she going to be okay?"
