✧・゚: *✧・゚:* LIFE *:・゚✧*:・゚✧

DELANEY SHRIEKED IN TERROR AS RYLAND launched her into the air. She twisted for a moment before landing in the pool and disappearing under the water, only resurfacing a few seconds later to splash him angrily as the rest of her friends laughed from the edge.

"Go fuck yourself," Delaney snarled, splashing him again as he dove over her and grinned from the other side. She was so focused on him and his smile that she hadn't noticed Nick jumping over her, shrieking again when he landed only inches from her face.

Alex laughed and recorded them from his seat on the stairs, holding his camera out of the way of the water quickly when Delaney sent it his way as well. She smiled innocently and swam over to her cup, sipping it as Chase watched her with a frown.

"How do you drink that stuff," he asked with a disgusted face, watching as she finished the cup wirh a shrug and tossed it towards him.

"Dunno. Just do. Can you fill it up, please?"

He only glared at her as he snatched the cup and disappeared inside. When he finally made it in the house, Delaney swam over towards Nick, Ryland and Patrick Huston, jumping onto Rylands back as Nick set up his phone to go live.

Almost everybody outback was buzzed, laughing and dancing to the music that Tony had began to play, and Delaney finally felt happy for once since playlist.

She squealed when Ryland grabbed her legs and secured her spot on his back, giggling as she watched the views on Nick's live begin to skyrocket. Deciding to give the people when they wanted, she leaned down and pressed her lips to Ryland's cheek, missing the blush that was clear to the camera.

"Hi guys!" She greeted, looking up as Chase made his entrance again with her cup. He peered down at the phone and gently lowered himself into the pool, joining them in the small group as they all tried to cram themselves into the frame of the camera.

Delaney had just moved to bring the cup to her lips when Ryland snatched it from her hands and took a sip, his face screwing up as he quickly handed it back to her with disgust. "How do you drink tequila—"

"I'm live, fuckface," Nick hissed and reminded him to watch his mouth but the comments revealed that it was way too late for that. They quickly began to spam asking if the friends were drunk and Nick groaned, throwing his head back in annoyance.

@user1 : are ryland and delaney dating?

Delaney choked on her drink and shook her head quickly, leaping down off of his back as she took the center spot infront of them. "Hell no, I am not dating Ryland," she shot the question down, glaring at him when he scoffed and wrapped an arm around her waist from behind.

She realized far too late that he was beginning to lift her out of the water, screeching when he flung her over his shoulder and she went flying behind him and into the water.

Everyone around her laughed loudly, and she flung up the middle finger, swimming to the stairs so that she could stomp into the house and replace the drink that Ryland had sent into the pool.

Nick was hot on her heels, shoving her roughly out of the way as she widened her eyes. "Fuck you," she snapped and sent her fist into his chest, waving at the live as the comments once again spammed with questions.

When they made it to the kitchen, Nick set up the phone so that the bottles weren't visible to the viewers as Delaneh began to make them both drinks. She handed him his and drank her own, peering at the comments.

@user2 : nick do u like delaney?

@user3 : kairi and mattia are here

@user4 : is delaney drunk?

@user5 : who does delaney date?

@user6 : guest me!!!

@mattiapolibio : nice

Delaney looked at Mattia's comment and frowned as she suddenly began to feel guilty for ghosting them. She knew it was only in his best interest to distance herself from them after all that had happened but it also wasn't fair to just disappear from their lives.

Her phone rang from the living room and she mumbled that she would meet Nick outside, bounding away towards the sound. She looked at the name and froze, her finger hovering over the accept button before the call ended and her home screen returned.

She frowned at the picture, gently setting her cup down on the floor as she sank down the wall and stared at the screen.

It was a picture of her and Kairi the night that they had had dinner together, both of them beaming at the camera. His arm was wrapped around her and his cheek was pressed to hers, complete bliss shown evident on both of their faces.

She knew that she should've changed it the moment that everything went down but she couldn't bring herself to do so, not when she knew that they would never have that again.

Delaney waited a few seconds to see if he would call back, sighing when her friends yelled for her to come back out and she couldn't bare to wait anymore. She should've called back but she didn't know what to say at that moment, nor did she feel like she would ever know.

She tossed her phone back down on the charger and retreated back outside, jumping back into the pool as the recent wave of feelings disappeared with the sight of her friends.

Inside, her phone rang once more, the boy on the other side of the world waiting anxiously for her to answer. And when she didn't answer again, Kairi wiped his eyes and leaned over to turn the lights off.

And then he cried himself to sleep for the third time that week, heart broken over a girl who he was sure didn't even love him back.
