✧・゚: *✧・゚:* LIFE *:・゚✧*:・゚✧"DUDE SHUT THE FUCK UP," Delaney whispered, punching towards the area that she thought Nick was in. She couldn't see a single thing in the dark but when he groaned in pain, she knew that she hit her target and she was instantly pleased with herself.
They were currently hiding in the downstairs closet, hiding the best that they could from Patrick and Ryland. At the sound of footsteps closing in, Delaney gasped and shoved Nick to the front of the closet, shrinking down the smallest that she could behind him so that he would be found first.
If anyone had told her that their night was ending in a drunk game of manhunt, she would've laughed in their face and now here she was, locked in a closet with Nick Austin with the most determination she had ever felt in her entire life.
"You're gonna make me get caught first?" Nick hissed quietly and tried to fling her infront of him. Delaney shrieked when he slammed her against the wall, her mouth dropping open as the retreating footsteps made their way back towards the door.
Suddenly light filled the small space and Delaney looked up at Patrick with a small smile. The moment he realized they were there, Delaney took the lapse of movement and slipped out of the closet and under his arm. She took off down hallway, her feet moving far too fast for the drunk boy to catch up.
She heard Nick hot on her heels and took a sharp turn, leaping over the couch. Clearly misjudging the distance, she screeched when her foot caught on the cushion and she went tumbling on the ground, Nick's laughter the only thing keeping her from feeling the pain she was sure she would feel tomorrow.
Ryland froze from his spot on the stairs and caught her eyes, the standoff only lasting for a few seconds until Delaney was on her feet and he was taking off behind her.
The fact that she knew Ryland could easily outrun her didn't even seem to faze her as she sprinted down the hallway, jumping out of Tony's way as he peeked his head out of the door in confusion with all the noise.
Delaney looked up and caught sight of Patrick waiting for her at the end of the hallway, a squeal escaping her lips as she cut to the left, her eyes so focused on the blonde boy behind her that she didn't even have time to notice that Ryland had doubled back.
He laughed loudly as she ran right into him, her body flying through the air as he tossed her over his shoulder and proudly marched into the living room. He tossed her in the bean bag and she watched in disappointment as Patrick finally caught Nick and their team had to face the loss.
Both Kouvr and Calvin watched from their spot on the couch, unable to speak due to the sheer shock that Delaney has even been able to stand let alone run throughout the house with a small chance of escape.
Nobody knew how the girl was still alive after the amount that they had all drank tonight but they were willing to guess that tomorrow wasn't going to be nearly as fun for her as it was right now.
Delaney didn't seem to care too much though, punching Ryland so hard that the boy doubled over and gasped for breathe as she glared at him. Alex laughed loudly from his spot on the stairs, his camera out and aimed directly at them and Delaney couldn't think of anything else to do but wave and smile.
"What the fuck is wrong with you," Ryland groaned, smacking the back of her leg as Delaney jumped away from him and tossed a line pillow at his already folded over body. She had a surge of energy going on that nobody could help but mimick and for that, they were greatful.
As soon as it hard started, Delaney began her crash and minutes later she was nodding out on the same beanbag that she had assaulted Ryland on. He scooped her up and told everyone that he would be back after she had fallen asleep, even if they knew that there was no way he would leave her in her state.
He stomped up the stairs and reached for his door, only to turn and walk down the hallway as she mumbled, "No, you're room. The T.V is bigger," and he smiled softly and did as he was told.
When he finally dropped her on the bed, Delaney curled up into a ball and grabbed his water bottle from the bedside table, chugging as much as she could before she reclaimed her spot.
Ryland tossed her a hoodie and sweatpants and turned around before she could undress to change, waiting until she hummed that she was done to turn back around.
He watched as she dropped back onto his bed and stretched out, patting the spot besides her as she drunkenly smiled at him. "Lay down bitch, I wanna watch a movie with my bestfriend," she demanded, grinning when he groaned and laid down next to her.
He moved his arm to fall under her and pulled her against him before he picked out a random movie and pressed play. He already knew that she was going to be asleep within a matter of minutes so there was no point in wasting his time trying to find something that she'd like.
Delaney yawned and rested her head on his chest, curling up next to him the closest that she could get. She hiccuped once and looked up at him in shock, clearly not satisfied that she now how to deal with them until they needed.
Both of their heads snapped towards the door at the sound of footsteps and Delaney pulled his hoodie over her head, glaring at the door as she waited for it to open. They heard their friends whispering from behind it and Delaney turned to look at him, the grin on her face telling him already that she was up to no good.
"Let's pretend to kiss when they open the door," she whispered, waiting for him to agree that it was a good idea but Ryland only raised a brow and stared at her. "You're drunk, Lane. Go to bed," he groaned, trying to hide that he was already on board with her idea so that she wouldn't tease him about it.
"Fine," She snapped and made a move to turn away just as the door handle jiggled enough to signal what was about to happen.
Acting on instinct that he didn't even know he had, Ryland grabbed Delaney's face and pressed his lips to hers just as the door flung open and multiple lights from phones lit up his entire room.
"No way," Nick gasped, immediately ending his video as he watched it over and over again in shock. Alex's mouth had yet to close after what he was just seen, his camera held in his hands as Delaney turned around and buried her face into Ryland's chest to hide her blush.
Ryland only stuck up the middle finger and snapped for them to leave, sighing in relief when the door shut again and he heard them stomp away down the hallway. He didn't say anything for a few minutes and instead tried to focus on that the fact he had kissed Delaney yet again, and this time it was her idea.
"Alright — Clearly you know how I feel and it's not going away anytime soon but I just wanna know if you'll ever feel like that," he finally spoke, his heart dropping when she didn't say a word in response.
"Delaney," he whispered, gently pulling down her hood to see that her eyes were closed and she had finally fallen asleep. He let out of a sigh, one that he didn't know if it was from relief or disappointment, and wrapped his free arm around her back as he too tried to fall asleep.
From the edge of the bed, Delaney's phone vibrated continuously but he couldn't find the effort to pick up the phone and tell whoever it was that the girl was sleeping and would call them back later. He just wanted to stay in the moment forever.
