24. Tiyana Battles!

Totodile had a hard time letting go of me. Perhaps Nurse Joy's soothing voice convinced him to let go. The poor guy was beaten up badly and scared half to death. After my buddies were safely inside, Flannery stated, "Now tell me everything. "

I narrated everything that happened. Replacing the Aura manipulation with carelessness of the goons and extreme luck, I made up a convincing story.

" This is bad... " Flannery was deep in thoughts, " Those runts are beginning to act more agressive now and you are the main person in their blacklist. You have to be extra-careful now. Those idiots may appear outta nowhere and pull of crazy stunts like these. "

" When that happens, I'll beat the living lights out of them. I have to train harder than ever I guess... By the way, where's- "

Before ending the sentence, the door slammed open with Tiyana in the middle, wet eyes and her blonde hair spiked in some places.

" TYLER! " She cried as she ran and bear-hugged me, " I was so worried! If I hadn't made you go after the berries, everything could've been... " It literally felt like being crushed! (How strong IS she?!)

Flannery giggled and that made Tiyana recoil back. She mumbled, " Sorry... "

I consoled her, " It's fine, really. None of this is your fault. I let my guard down and got attacked. Simple as that. "

" But if I had just been there... "

" They wouldn't hesitate to kidnap you too. Actually, I am glad you're safe. "

She smiled, " Thanks... "

After narrating the incident for the second time, Tiyana looked flabbergasted, " Mega Evolution? That should've been hard on you... "

I nodded.

Nurse Joy piped up, " At least he is safe now. That's all it counts. "

I smiled at her.

Flannery asked, " So what now? "

" We'll head out for Sunyshore City first thing in the morning. Staying here invites trouble for the town. "

She sniggered, " We can handle a bunch of miscreants ourselves. "

" Miscreants, maybe. But not the senior fellows with... "

The time was four in the evening. Setting out now would be pointless as Sunyshore City is at least two days of walking. We could take a breather in Littleroot Town after some eight hours and that's it.

I enetered my room after the farewell. Packing up the necessary things for tomorrow and the days to come, I was ready. A call from Nurse Joy asked to get my Pokemon anytime. As I approached the counter, Nurse Joy looked worried.

" Oh Tyler! Totodile has gone missing! "

" What? How? "

" We don't know. Chansey was taking care of it. Once she came back after a drink, he disappeared. "

I began to worry sick. Totodile might have zero experience in the outside world being in that horrible place for who-knows how long. Before I could rush out, Joy consoled me, " Don't worry Tyler. I have dispatched some Pikachu and Zubat to help us out. Rest assured. "

Although it didn't console as much, I was worried. If I remember correctly, Totodile had a silver or white aura. If Riolu could sense him...

Back in my room, Riolu sat for a long time with his appendages rising. After a good amount of time, he shook his head. Darn it...  Where could that Pokemon be?
