34. Aura Training

With a roar, Luxio leaked out all the energy stored up in a brilliant flash of yellow and blue. The Discharge was so bright that we had to shield our eyes. The pure power of the attack broke the floor apart, disintegrating the rubble, cracking the walls, pushing us far back and of course, hit Luxray.

When everything calmed down, or at least when it seemed to calm down, I opened my eyes to see two Luxrays. Two frickin' Luxrays. One was knocked out, the other roaring. Didn't take long to realize that some part of the light was Luxio evolving. The giant amount of current he aborbed must have forced him to evolve.

He looked at me with a grin. I hugged his big fluffy mane when he bolted towards me. "Congratulations Luxray. You've evolved! " I heard the familiar sound of crackling. In moments, I was zapped by Luxray's static. Riolu laughed when Luxray pulled off the trick he first did when we met. I joined in when I realized that.

Finally, one of my friends have fully grown.

Volkner looked stunned when his Pokeball's red beam caught his Luxray. Quickly, he hid with a laugh, " That, my friend, was a fantastic battle! It's been forever since I lost a battle. Thanks to you, I could finally feel the thrill of battling once again! "

" Nice to help you, " I said while standing up.

" For defeating me and resurrecting me, I grant you the Beacon Badge. "

He placed the lighthouse shaped badge on my open palm. I trembled with 'enthusiasm' and yelled, " I've got the Beacon Badge! Woo! "

" Lux! Luxray! " he roared in agreement. Volkner was smiling all the way, " Here's the TM for Charge Beam. You've earned it. "

I kicked back amd relaxed as Tiyana walked towards the Gym. Man, what a tiring battle. Especially what happened with Luxio. I honestly never thought he'd evolve. Either way, no complaints.

Mewtwo's voice startled me, Tyler it's time.

" Uh, what? " I asked in my mind.

Time for you to get some real Aura training.

" I have nothing better to do so... Fine I guess. "

Either way, it's no option. Now get out of there. Tell your girlfriend if you must but make it quick. You may be offline for two or three days.

Trying to suppress the raging storm which screamed out at Mewtwo for calling Tiyana 'that', I turned on the watch and dialled up her number. She was scaling the steps when I called.

She panted, " Hey Tyler... Wassup? "

I grinned, " When you reach the top, you'll wish you hadn't come. But anyway, I have to go somewhere. It might take two or three days. "

" What? Where? " She asked with hints of surprise and worry.

" Um, I dunno. It's part of the you-know-what. "

" Er... What do I know? "

" C'mon, the 'thing' I can do. "

" Can't get you. "

" Tiyana, my gosh! It's part of my abilities. "

" Oooooh. Should've said sooner. Okay, come back soon. I'll wait around here. Sure you don't want me to tag along? "

" It's fine. Take care of yourself. Bye. "
