Chapter 1

Xiao Zhan is a novelist and an artist. When he was a child he really loved to draw, listen to poetry and most especially to his mama's bed time stories some children would probably fell asleep in the middle of the reading but Xiao Zhan was different, he'd make sure to finish everything before falling asleep. Sometimes he would begged his mama to read another book because it enchanted him more.

As he was growing, he wouldn't missed the opportunity to be given an award for his great drawing and writing skills may it be in poetry, essay, journalism and etc.

His books were listed as the best selling books of all time in the whole wide world. Of course at first, he tried to publish several books but it was hard for him since he was just a starter in writing industry until one day, a famous writer and a youtuber recommended his books on his readers and bam! It was outsold in one and a half day!

Xiao Zhan was very happy that he couldn't put his gratitude in words. Although he never showed his face, he kept his appearance anonymously. He tried his best to pursue his friends and family not to brag and keep everything about him in secret well it was a success nonetheless some of his personal information were revealed but it wasn't a big deal since his fans were really curious about him, about his likes and dislikes and so on.

One thing that made him very popular was his book cover. He was not only good in writing stories but he was also excellent on making his own book covers by drawing, painting and etc. Everything about the book was unique and alluring because it was all his effort.

Xiao Zhan was promoted in many areas, his books were sometimes involved in dramas and tv shows. His books and arts were sufficient for advertisements.

His hard work was worth it. All of his blood, sweat and tears that were shed were well paid off. Now that he was adjusting to his prosperous life he bought a small building for his business and managed by his close friends and family.

Sometimes they were bombarded with lot of questions regarding about Xiao Zhan's identity, no matter how terrifying the fans are they mustn't spill the beans.

There goes the time where everyone assumed that Xiao Zhan was probably a fat and old guy who was writing novels in a secluded mountain looking like a hermit. They laughed and teased Xiao Zhan about it for who knows how long it lasted.

Xiao Zhan always goes to the company with his not so attracting attire, as much as possible he doesn't want to be the center of the attraction. He always comes by late because he has a bad sleeping habits.

"Zhan, we are offered a new job." Wang ZhuoCheng said while handing out the proposal letter, it was folded neatly and cleanly.

Xiao Zhan took his cap and coat off and hanged it on the rack next to his table. He nod as he heard what his best friend said. "Alright. I'll check it out first then we'll send our response."

ZhuoCheng nod his head, "Noted. Anyway, you look quite odd today." He state while checking out the latter.

Xiao Zhan gave him a wide smile showing his potruded dimple and his adorable bunny teeth, "I know. I look extra handsome today." He naughtily wave his brows up and down.

ZhuoCheng laugh sarcastically and scoff, "Oh yeah, I remember! That face and that look is very familiar it goes with 'I am 28 and still single and will remain untouchable until the day I die,"

Xiao Zhan lose his smiley face, he reached the thick dictionary that was placed above his table and threw it on ZhuoCheng's face. Luckily the man's reflexes were fast that he was able to catch it on time.

Xiao Zhan pouts and points at his friend, "You can't 'status-shame' me just because you're relationship with your best friend is processing almost succesfully!"
