Joe supported Dianne's head, as she leaned back on the stool kissing him gently. "Mwah, anything you want specifically, my love? Anything baby desperately wants?" He turned her using her knee and put his hand on her tummy.

"Make sure you get a birthday cake Joe. Or things to make one. Wait actually, you got that one ordered so never mind. Balloons and those multi coloured candles, those things that explode and scare the shit out of me and wrapping paper a-" she paused to hiccup which turned into a burp.

"You okay? Do you need to go to the toilet? Or the sink?" He instantly worried, holding his hand by her mouth- fully prepared to catch her sick.

Dianne sipped the lime cordial he had got her and shook her head, shoving his hand away, "just a burp-up, I'm fine Lovie. So yeah, a nice big card we can write in. Those chips she likes."

"I know, all of them. I mean you and Rasp specifically. Anything you're craving or need. Or think you might want for the next week or so?"

"Oh, no. Wait. Actually. Nuts. And tinned peaches. And ice cream with dairy even though it sort of made me feel a bit nauseous it was so nice. Worth being sick for in fact, hey I finally understand lactose intolerant people who eat it even though it makes them ill. Anyway. Yeah so ice cream and indigestion medicine. White bread. Cheese. Ooh blue cheese would be absolutely lo-"

"I can't baby," Joe said delicately, looking up from his phone where he was writing everything down, "I can't because of listeria from unpasteurized cheese. But I'll get you really tasty hard cheese. Okay? And more exciting crackers."

"I'd probably throw it up," she grouched.

"Dot," Joe pouted, hugging her, "don't say that, you've been doing well."

"I would. Okay anyway. Baked potatoes with beans and cheese. And chicken nuggets. Oh my god... chips, hot chips. And those smiley face things. Oh yeah. And pitta bread."

"Carbs, got it. Text about anything else. And I'll try as much as possible to get our normal stuff. I best get going. I checked the queue on Twitter and it was quiet."

"And anything you know will make me feel less sick, I know I'm not throwing up as much but I want all of the old wives solutions. So I'm good for her day!"

Joe nodded and kissed her again, rubbing her back.

"Bye Con. I'll see you in an hour okay?"

"Kissy!" Connie said running sideways out of her room with green felt tip on her face.

"Okay, bye Doodle." He said to her and then slipped out of the front door.

"Everything alright," he asked, answering the phone in the lift a minute after he left.

"I love you Daddy."

"Oh tiny," Joe breathed a sigh of relief, "we forgot to say 'I love you' didn't we?"

"Yep. So, I called you with Mummy. She's editing with your glasses on."

"I know. So her eyes hurt less. I love you too Connie, so much. In fact, I actually love you to the moon and back infinity times, okay?"

"Yeah. Mummy said she loves you too."

"Oh okay, can you tell her I love her so so much and she's so beautiful."

"I doned it. I'll put the phone by Raspberry so you can tell them you love them now."

"Right," Joe turned the ignition, "hi my little Raspy-Waspy it's Dada on the phone. I'm just calling through Mum's tum to tell you I love you so so much. I love you."
