'Okay, wow. That's unexpected. Erm. Okay Dot, we're actually doing this...'
"Mummy my socks are backwards and alsoly upside down and I fink I put them on the wrong feet!"

"So," Dianne sat down next to Joe, who had just put Connie to bed and was trying to get his iPlayer to work so they could watch one of Stacey's new documentaries.
"So?" he kissed her temple, leaving the remote, as her hand settled on his.
"What, Dot?" He asked when she didn't speak again.
"It was probably quite a good thing tour got moved," Dianne admitted, taking his hand properly.
"Yeah, keeps people safe and we can look after Con, especially if she gets poorly or school gets cancelled. We'll have more time to work. Time to spend together. To grow." He listed, getting lost in her eyes. They were their usual brown but Joe noticed, being intrinsically linked with his darling girl, there was something there that hadn't been there the day before. Actually, he mused, as she fiddled in the pocket of his hoodie that she was drowning in, it hadn't been there that morning.
"Well yeah, all of that but also," she pulled something out of the pocket she had been fiddling in. Joe looked down as it was placed in his hands but hers sandwiched the item before he could get a look in. He could feel it was relatively long and slightly flat, with dips and indents in it. Joe couldn't for the life of him work out what it was, so he looked right back at her, right into her deep brown eyes, just as she said, after a deep breath, "also this."
"No. No. No way. No actual way? No!" He knew what it was now.
"Yeah. Yes," she could feel the tears coming, "it's, yeah."
"Oh my gosh," he looked at her face, "Oh my gosh," then the thing in his hand again, "oh. My. Gosh." His hand dropped the item and lifted up his jumper. It rested on her vest covered stomach, as his eyes met hers again, tears definitely present, "how?"
"I don't know. Well. But, I don't... yeah."
"Have you had any symptoms? Honey. Oh. Oh my gosh." He hadn't moved his hand.
"Not one. I just had a feeling when I woke up, like last time but," she nodded to it, wiping her eyes, one of her hands resting over his.
"But this time..." he was grinning like the Cheshire Cat, tears glistening in the eyes that had captivated her, "Dotty this is amazing."
She nodded and they sat for a while lost in each other, their minds going a million miles an hour as they both processed the news. For Dianne this was almost her first opportunity, she had been so busy all day that thinking about this wasn't an option. It was just now beginning to hit her the enormity of the thing that she had told Joe, it made the tears fall faster, but in such a positive, happy way. They were most definitely the happiest tears ever.
"So, when did you take it?" Her boyfriend broke the silence.
"This morning, we had a spare one. It was hidden in my training bag." She wiped a tear of his, and watched his hand mirror hers and move one of her own.
"Why didn't you tell me straight away, you must had been so excited. Wait, hang on, you do want to keep it, don't you? Because if you don't, I completely understand." He had pulled her into a hug, hand gone from her stomach, just in case.
"Of course, I do," she mumbled into his chest, "you were working from the moment I took Connie out of the house. I knew you needed the day. I ran back from school the long way to keep my brain from exploding. Then I sort of forgot, filming my video. Then we got Connie so obviously I couldn't say then. I keep forgetting honestly, it's so new. I'm happy though, so so so happy."
