As promised, your update! Two smaller parts won by a landslide, so I've split it! Enjoy! xx
On a bit of a dreary day in London Connie and Mummy could be seen working on the computer doing some maths just them because Daddy had a meeting with someone called Flo in his office. They had just been talking about number bonds when Mummy had all of a sudden left. Feeling a bit nosy, Connie finished them quickly, mistaking a seven for a one in the process, and followed her. Mummy had gone up to her bedroom so, that's where Connie aimed for. As quick as a pack of ornithomimids, the fastest type of dinosaur ever, she ran up the stairs and into her parents' bedroom. She couldn't find her at first, she wasn't in bed, but then Connie, being an expert in hide and seek, found her being not very well in the toilet. Instantly the little girl felt panicked, she hadn't expected to see this. For a moment or two she hid by the door until finally her brain, which was a little bit full of maths and a lot filled with dinosaurs, kicked in and she ran to stand next to her.
"Mummy!" The five-year-old exclaimed. Dianne reacted by holding onto Connie's hand, as she was sick again. The littlest Sugg quickly worked out what to do and took her hand from her Mummy's loose grip and started patting her back. She was still feeling panicked but she knew what to do because Daddy had looked after her so many times when she was being poorly like Mummy.
"Good Mummy," Connie said, kissing her shoulder, "I will get the furmometer and the flannel. You should say if you need me."
Dianne couldn't argue, her insides felt like liquid and it was taking a serious amount of effort to stop them from coming up. "You can lie down Mummy," Connie said, as soon as she returned from her Dad's bedside table with the thermometer.
"I'll stay," she croaked out.
"I don't understand," Connie said, her temperature was the same as Mummy's and she didn't feel one bit poorly, in fact, she felt absolutely healthy. Suddenly, it made sense though, as she was wetting a flannel, "Mummy has your tummy aten something bad?"
"No doodle, it's the baby," Dianne said, flushing the chain, closing the toilet lid, resting her head against it, still trying to normalise her breathing.
"Oh no, did you frow up the baby?"
"Gosh no, no, you know how the baby takes my food and energy to grow?" Dianne said, starting to feel better. Connie nodded and put a sopping wet flannel on Dianne's shirt at the back- she didn't mind though; it was the thought that counted. "Well the baby also makes me feel a bit poorly. They're still safe in there but they made my stomach feel a bit sick and I couldn't hold it in. I shouldn't hold it in."
"Otay. But why no tempiture?"
"Because I'm not actually sick. I haven't got a bug, just the baby didn't like something. You don't need to worry," Dianne put her hand on Connie's face, "thank you so much for helping me. Especially because Daddy's busy."
"I do be sick sometimes too, I get it."
"Thanks Con. Are you ready for another task to help?"
"Yeah."
Dianne smiled and kissed her cheek, "I really need a cup of water."
"Otay, you can lide down Mummy," Connie pushed her head.
"I know, I might, go on, do that big favour for me, that's a good girl. Put it in a plastic one."
Connie kissed her head and scurried off down the stairs. She got out her little mermaid cup and stood on her stool to get the water. First it was hot so she tipped it away and tried again, successfully getting cold water. She held it with two hands and started walking towards the stairs.
