1.The Return

Sarada woke up at the sound of her alarm, she had been waking up early since she was under the training of the 7th hokage, Uzumaki Naruto. She was always excited to learn new things about being hokage. Of course, it was her dream but also she wanted to impress a certain someone when he comes home to Konohagakure. It had been 3 years now, meaning he can come home anytime.

Then her mom, Sakura Haruno, knocked on her door and went in her room. She was told by the hokage to let Sarada go to his office right after she woke up. "Sarada, the hokage wants to speak with you, he said it's urgent." said by her mother, Sarada replied to get ready.

Sarada was rushing to the hokage's office, she didn't know what is so important that she needed to be there so early. She arrived at the office and knocked on his door. She heard the hokage's approval that she could come in. She went in and immediately ask what was her mission today and why is it important. She couldn't finish her question since he saw two male figures. She immediately knew who they were. "Papa!" she went to hug her father. Sasuke Uchiha was the protector of the hokage and the village. "Hello Sarada" he said with a smile, it wasn't normal to see Sasuke smile, only to his family after he went home from a long mission. Sarada was still hugging her father until she noticed a particular figure across the room, she knew who it was. It was the boy that she had liked for years. It was no other than Boruto "Hey Sarada-chan!" he greeted her with a big smile. She couldn't stop herself from blushing. Her face was almost a tomato. After 3 years, he can still make Sarada flustered even with one smile. "Hello Boruto-kun" she replied.

Naruto cleared his throat "The reason I called you, Sarada, today is to see your father and Boruto, and also because of a serious matter." The atmosphere suddenly turned serious. She was intimidated by it. "When we traveled for Boruto's training, we felt someone was watching us, it's not after his training, when we were going home, we encountered a boy, he was wearing a cloak, and- "his hair was a blonde shaved side and long black hair" Boruto interrupted "Boruto, let Sasuke explain" Naruto told Boruto to just listen. "As I was saying, he also had a staff. His name was Kawaki. He is from a group called Kara. He knew about Boruto's eye and curse mark. He said that the group wanted Boruto's eye, especially our sharingan."

"He had initiated a fight, he was strong. He was able to use his curse mark at will. He was able to absorb ninjutsu and use it, just like Boruto's. We were forced to retreat." Sasuke finished. "That being said, we need to protect sharingan users, and that's you two. So I will leave Sarada under your care, Boruto. But don't get too cocky, they still want your eye, so be alert." Naruto explained. "If my daughter gets hurt, Boruto. I will kill you" Sasuke taunted the blonde kid, leaving a scared Boruto, "Yes, Sasuke-sensei" Boruto replied with fright. "What about you, Papa?" Sarada asked concerned "Don't worry, I'll be fine." Sasuke said.

"Don't worry, Sarada-chan, I will protect you until you become hokage!" Boruto said proudly. Sarada's face turned into a tomato. "Baka-Boruto"
