SEOKJIN

I am always told that the way I carry myself represents who I am. Confidence, personality, grooming, clothing, but it's usually the ones people see immediately. Grooming and clothing.

When you dress well, people will give you honor and attention. The way you dress always gives the first impression. People tend to be superficial. The world as a whole. Society usually based everything on what we see first especially those who don't know you well. In return, we can gain confidence when people acknowledge our appearance.

That's how superficial society is. And we all live in that society.

"Good afternoon Mr. Kim. Did I make you wait?" I greeted my boss as soon as I entered his office.

He gave me a boxy smile when he saw me. "No. It's okay. I heard you went out with Jungkook."

"It's just a lunch out, Mr. Kim." I look to study his face. I don't want him to assume that I am interested in Jungkook. Well, maybe a one-night stand will do but definitely, no hint of attraction.

He purses his lips and nods. He stands up with a laptop in his hands. "Have a seat on the couch, please."

His tone made my mouth curved up a little. I have another idea of how to use that couch. It's just sad that I cannot convey that idea as of now.

I settle down on the sofa and he takes the one on my left. He places the laptop on the center table and turns his eyes on me. "This will be your laptop. You will bring that whenever I am attending a meeting. You can bring it home but I highly encourage you not to bring your work home.

Linda used to write down notes but I believe that you're more on the techie side so I know you'll appreciate a laptop more. And, this job doesn't need training or anything. Just be organized, that's all I need."

I smiled and stared straight into his eyes. "Taking down notes or using a laptop is fine with me. It doesn't matter."

He leaned his back on the couch and crossed his legs. "This will be the first day that you will work for me formally as my assistant. I'm not sure if Linda already mentioned it to you but some of the board's assistants can be mean."

I chuckled and shook my head. Looking down on me will be their biggest regret if in case they will treat me unfairly like Linda. "Don't worry about that, Mr. Kim. I certainly know how to handle people like that. I can manage. I've been judged a lot during my school years. I learned not to care about their opinion."
