---------------
I find it hard to believe that we were able lay here together at night and not feel like the whole world was against us.
People didn't understand how we worked so well together; their doubts being voiced constantly and shared with us.
It wasn't my fault that I loved you.
It wasn't your fault that you loved me.
It was the others outside of our bubble who threw their negativity at us.
Their words started to pierce the heart; we started to pull away from one another - slowly, sadly.
You had to listen to those villains.
I couldn't even begin to understand how it was so easy to let them get to you.
They were winning this war.
You were losing the internal battle and starting to drag me down with you.
I don't know if I could ever forgive you.
That peaceful serenity you held within your soul that calmed me became poisonous.
It was the end of a beautiful parallel.
And it felt like I couldn't ever withstand anything in this life again.
