It was a simple Sunday, late in the afternoon with an array of warm colours tinting the sky.

I was sitting in the comfortable wicker chair with the deep red cushion behind my back. The cup of coffee that sat in my hands was turning lukewarm now - I had yet to reach the bottom of it. My beloved was also rummaging around the kitchen so there were occasional faint sounds of cabinets closing or pots clanging.

It had been a wonderful day of wandering and adventure.

I've lived in this city for quite a few years now and it was fun to just explore and breathe in the culture. The old buildings and monuments with their intricate designs always made me feel some sort of way - we were able to pass by most. It was like the amazement overcame me and everything around me intensified.

My favourite place to visit had always been the lavender fields though.

Ever since I was a small child, it was a must for my family to see.

Lavender had always been one of my mothers favourites.

So we got to bake in the sun for awhile and I honestly just loved every minute of it.

There's really something special about them.

The smell, appearance.

Beautiful simplicity.
