He gave her all that he had. Loved like he never had before, but she couldn't understand. Couldn't see the truth behind his words, that were pure and sincere. She kept trying to keep her walls up, he tried taring them down. It was a close to impossible task for him.
He thought they were perfect together, when they were together. He could call her his, she could him hers. But, nothing lasts forever. It turned sour, she tried to run. Run from the hypothetical terrible future events that were near and enclosing in around them. All the doubts coming at her like a hurricane.
He tried to help, he really did.
He believed that he could shelter her, make her believe just as strongly as he. That they could withstand the storm, change a fate.
But he was wrong, and she crumbled and fell.
It was all too much for her, thats when he couldn't put the pieces back together. His own mind couldn't figure out the complex puzzle that she'd turned out to be.
It was his fault.
It wasn't his fault though.
He blamed himself for all the pain she had undergone, and he couldn't convince himself that it was going to be okay. That they would be good again, she could get better.
Looks like he left her though, as she kept unravelling like the delicate complex being she was. He watched as she deteriorated into a void of nothingness, an empty soul.
And he'd never be so sorry in his life.
