part eight - what the

*Lunch / Recap*

*Anai's POV*

We were all sitting at the boys lunch table when we heard a big "BOOM" from the front of the school , and that's when everything went to hell in a hand basket.

Daniel - "Anai!! Princess where are you?!" I heard him scream with fear overtaking him

Anai - "I'm over here. Dani by the lunch line!!" I screamed trying not to move so he could find me

I could barely see the top of his because of how tall he is, and with everyone running around in a panic, he couldn't see me. I closed my eyes trying not to have another panic attack, to forget about all the chaos that was swirling around me. Then I felt someone envelope me into a giant bear hug. 

Anai - "Dani," I asked with a shaky voice, "is that you?" I said my breath starting to quicken, signaling another panic attack

Daniel - "Yes princess, I've got the twins with me, somebody's breaking into the school, but don't worry, I've got you now." He said in a shushing tone, realizing that I was about to have a panic attack

He held me close and the twins were standing next to us hugging each other, there was still panic in the cafeteria, so we weren't easily visible. Once everyone had calmed down, we went into place. Soon we heard a man's voice.

*Imagine a Joker like voice, like a crazy person's voice*

"I know you're in here!" he screamed with a psychotic laugh at the end. "Come out and play! OR will I just have to -" He kicks open the cafeteria door "COME FIND YOU?!" he started bursting out into a hysterical laughter.

We heard him rummaging through anything, trash cans, up on the stage, behind the stage curtains, everywhere. Soon we heard him getting closer to where we were. Daniel pulled me closer to his chest, we were in the far back, furthest away, but he still felt the need to protect me. Then we heard the most dreadful noise I could hear at the moment, the cocking of a gun. Even though it was dark where we were, I could see everyone's eyes grow wider. Suddenly I knew what I had to do. 

Anai - "I'm going to use my powers." I barely whispered to Daniel

Daniel - "What! No you'll get caught" he whispered back

Anai - "It's fine, it's pitch black so no one would see me anyways, I'm going to draw water from the pipes in the girls bathroom to make a noise, he'll run out and then I will draw water from in here and make a wall from where he'd need to enter, and worse comes to worse it'll get a little cold in here." I whisper, I was being serious, I was not going to let anyone die, while I could possibly help

I focused and pictured the girl's bathroom, on removing water from the pipes. They began to shake.

"Well, well, well,-" he taunted "looks like someone just gave up their hiding spot." I began to hear footsteps running away

Daniel - "That was incredible." I hear him whisper before kissing my head

Anai - "I'm not done yet." I smiled

I focused on the sink behind us, all of us started hearing a rummaging noise from behind us. Soon enough, water was floating over our heads in a brick formation in front of the door, and wall/window type thing, then we heard footsteps coming back. The water started to flow faster.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" he questioned menacingly "Witch craft maybe, no, a fairy, not even, " he paused "or maybe, just maybe, a mermaid." you could practically hear his smirk. 

He began shooting everything especially towards the window where he was the water. right as the first bullet was fired, I froze the water, all of it. Nobody had no clue by what he meant when he said mermaid, and nobody was even questioning the water, they were just glad they were safe. Bullet after bullet he fired, until he heard sirens.

"Oh, well look at that, the po po have come to play, well in that case, I have to bounce." He screamed

Everyone sighed with relief, but one person in the front, smiling at their phone...

*time skip*

*Daniel's POV*

My girlfriend really just did that, she just saved us all from a school shooter. Wow, she's amazing. I was snapped out of my thoughts when we heard a loud banging on the door.

"It's the L.A. P.D. you can come out now" The man said

I looked over at Anai, who's face started to shift from relief to concentration, and just like that the ice started melting and began floating above our heads again and back into the sink. Our principal opened the door.

Principal - "Thank you for getting here as fast as you could, were any of our students hurt?" my principal asked with uncertainty in her voice

Officer - "No ma'am, you are very lucky, it seems he was looking for somebody and left everyone else alone."

When I heard those words, my heart dropped. Was he looking for Anai, my Anai, the precious girl I was holding in my arms as we speak?

Principal - "Well I'm just glad none of my students were harmed during this traumatic event." She said with  delight in her tone

Officer - "As am I, you all are very lucky." he said, looking back at all of us

I heard a cry come from Anai, I knew what was running through her mind.

*Anai's POV* 

Was I the cause of this school shooting? Was I the person who put all of these kids in danger? I heard my name being called.

Hope - "Anai, Anai, please answer me." Hope said with concern in her voice

Adrianna - "How was she-" I heard her question

Hope - "Daniel, Daniel, hey somethings wrong with Anai." Hope said trying to get Daniel's attention put he was lost in thought until he felt something, something warm touch his hand.

Anai - "I don't feel so -" and everything went black

Hey guys this was a longer chapter than the previous two, sorry bout that, I was just focused on getting the story along so y'all wouldn't get bored reading. Today's chapter was left on a cliff hanger because, well why not. Also I have a question for you guys, should I make the twins supernatural or no? Please comment what you think. Also please vote!!
