part seventeen

"wha- what's that?" I asked my voice trembling, my hands started sweating and I couldn't stop staring at the mess before me

"surprise?" Daniel said, holding his hands up as if he were about to do jazz hands

I stare at the scene, every little detail painted so vividly and embedding itself into my mind.

"DANIEL WHAT THE HECK DID YOU DO?!" I screamed, my siren urging to take over but I fought her

"I know you don't like surprises but you know it was our 2 month anniversary and I sorta kinda maybe have possibly.." He tried getting out before my siren completely took over

He watched in horror as my eyes shifted from their usual crystal blue to her crimson red, he tried to reason with her but she would not give him the time of day. 

She looked at the glass of water next to the scene and started lifting it up and forming it into a spear, once I saw this I finally took over control, but not without a fight. The water kept rising and dropping as my eyes shifted from the kind blue to the menacing red that could and would kill. 

"ENOUGH" I yelled as my eyes finally shifted back to their blue, I looked over at Daniel and saw him on the floor with his head between his knees.

"Dani I-" he flinched as I put my hand on his shoulder

"I'm so sorry, I should've controlled her more, I-" I realized that he couldn't even face me, and that a part of his jeans were soaking wet.

"I'll just go..." I said before I got up from my position, I walked out of his room slowly, hoping he would grab my wrist or something to signal that he didn't want me to go, but nothing.

As I was walking out I felt something grab my wrist, I turned around hoping to see Daniel but instead it was just his mom, Keri.

"Hey sweetie, how are you?" She asked, her voice not its usual joyful tone

"I'm good I guess.." I say looking at the ground, slightly chuckling at the end

She place her pointer finger under my chin bringing it up so I could face her

"How are you and Daniel I mean" she said, concern lacing both her voice and eyes

"we, we are doing great" I stuttered out, a fake smile creeping its way onto my face to make it believable

'that's a lie and you know it.' my siren said

'shut it.' i said sternly back

I looked back up at Keri and she had the biggest smile on her face

"I'm so glad to hear that sweetie, if he ever tries anything with you, let me know. I'll put him in his place because no son of mine will ever hurt or disrespect any woman on this planet, heck in this universe." She said chuckling a bit at the end

"You got it Mrs. Seavey" I said as I turned to walk out

"Anai, Honey, please don't call me that, you know how I hate feeling old."  Keri said laughing while pinching the end of the bridge of her nose

"Got it Miss Keri Kiwi" I said laughing as I walked out, I heard her chuckle right as I closed the door

God where am I going to go? I haven't been home in days, and my parents seem to be doing fine without me, I show up every once in a while to either get more of my stuff or to just stop and say hi, but I try to stay away as much as possible in fear that my mother will sense something and figure out and by the time I try to get away, it'll be too late, I'd be in her grasp.

I continue walking until I feel arms snake around my waist, alarmed I kicked the person and wiggled out of his grip to look at who the kidnapper was.

I turn around and see a Corbyn bent over in pain. My eyes widen.

"OH MY GOD CORBYN WHAT THE HELL YOU SCARED ME!!" I say as he looks up

"I- I'm, So- Sorry, Anai" He coughed out

I rush over to his side and kneel down next to him.

"Corb, are you okay?"

"I think I'll be fine" he chuckles out

"Thank God" I breathe out getting up, and that's the last thing I remember before everything fades out and I lose conscienceness.

*Corbyn's POV*

I finally got up from being hunched over in pain, and hear Anai breathe out something about thanking God and before I can even comprehend whats happening she's lying on the ground as if she's dead. I shake her once, nothing. I shake her again, nothing. I look up and see people all around us but not near us, staring at us, it looks as if they're mouthing something... like a sp-

everything goes black, and I feel my body hit the hard cement of the sidewalk we were on.

Hey guys, I know It's been a while with this story and my other story, if you haven't checked it out you really should. ANYWAYS as I was saying it's been a while and I am so sorry but I had to take care of some things and I spilt cereal on my other computer... and I was taking a mental health break. And truth be told, I did lose my love for writing for a long moment but that is currently behind this and I hope you enjoyed this chapter/comeback
