*Corbyn's POV*

The look on all of the girl's faces and Daniel's were made of pure and udder shock. Did I really just tell them that me and Jonah were people of the sea.

"Wait, aren't you like, wait, where are your heart stones is what I'm trying to say." Anai asked us

"Here."  Jonah said pointing to his bracelet

"We made it look more stylish for like dudes." I said looking a bit confused when the words came out of my mouth

"I'm assuming you both are her countesses?" Jonah said pointing to the twins

"My what?" Anai questioned, her eyes averting their attention from Jonah, and putting it with the twins

"Well, you are suppose to choose two countesses to be by your side to like advise you, and to be your heir if anything were to happen to you and you didn't have a blood heir." Hope said with guilt in her eyes

"We didn't want to put the pressure of you to choose, even if it was just us, and we didn't want to place the idea in your head that you weren't going to make it out alive from this battle." Adrianna added, her head held low

*Anai's POV* 

This is crazy, I didn't know this was a thing, let alone that mermaids were a thing, but like with that fateful night, I adapt. Also I couldn't think of anyone more fitting than the girls, I mean they are my best friends and the ones who have been through all of this with me.

"I couldn't think of two more perfect countesses for the job." I said smiling and pulling them into a hug

I looked over at Daniel, and his face was still and shock and then turned into joy as I started hugging the twins.

"I'm proud of you, my queen." He joked, pulling me into a hug

After that Jonah and Corbyn started coughing to get our attention, I looked over at them and they were pointing to the water. I looked at there were three orbs, they were containing some sort of ... jewelry? And one looked more like a headress of sorts.

"Wow, this is really happening." Adrianna gasped at the sight

"This is really happening." Hope reassured herself

"Would someone care to explain what is going on?" I asked everyone

"This happens everytime a queen is ready to rule, and has also chosen her countesses. Every royal has a crown that was destined to be theirs from birth, and the countesses have the simple coral necklaces. The crown of every royal is none like the ones from before it, some are really powerful once placed on the head of its rightful owner, and some are just weak, it is all based on the personality and will of the queen, everything is based on her. Once one us crowns you, we will be able to see if it's strong.. or weak." Corbyn said sighing at the end

"Why do you want to crown you?" Jonah asked

It didn't take me long to know exactly who I wanted. I look over my shoulder and was met with ocean eyes.

"Daniel," I said smiling, "Will you do me the honor of crowning me?" His face lit up at my words

"The honor is all mine." He said while kissing my forehead, I could feel the kiss turn into a grin

He walked over to the bubble containing the crown and grabbed it carefully with both hands, and came over to me, he looked at me and smiled. Slowly he placed the crown on my head, all of a sudden the waters of the cove began lifting and surrounding me, I was so confused but then I felt something coursing through me, then the waters stopped.

"The legend is true" I heard someone gape, I could tell it was Corbyn

I came out, and felt different.

"Anai, your eyes." Hope said

"They're shifting from blue to red, and back." Adrianna explained

"Her siren, it's changing." Jonah said in awe

"Wait what was this legend you were talking about?" I asked Corbyn 

His face lit up like a kid in a candy store.

"The legend goes, When our people are almost out of hope, one Queen will be crowned. When she is crowned, the water around her with envelope her in a sense, and her eyes will begin to change, her siren within will become one with her, making her very powerful. Her crown will be the strongest of them all, able to control the seas, and turn everyone and anyone she wants at her will. She will be the one to take us out of this darkness to come." Corbyn finished

I know that was a crappy legend but I'm focusing on the next chapter, I hope you like this. I feel like my writing is faultering but I'm focusing on the climaz
