Dancing Shadows

Chapter Eight

Bakugou's POV-
   "Can you teleport all of us away from here?" Icyhot asks Cherry quietly.

   "I don't think you understand just how difficult it is to teleport people." She says through clenched teeth. "I might be able to, but not very far. I can't get you out of the building."

   "No, we have to deal with these villains right now." I say. "if we run away like a bunch of fucking cowards, they'll just go after our other classmates next."

   "Come on, guys!" The fancy kid exclaims before we shush him. "We have to get out of here."

   "No." Pikachu says. "If we push Ellowyn too far, it could make her condition worse."

   "Hey, Kaminari," Icyhot says, making sure to be extra quiet. "If we stay in the corridor, could you use your quirk in this room?"

   "Yeah, but you do know that I'll be pretty much useless after that, right?"

   "Yes, but I don't really see another way. Toga is able to avoid our long-distance attacks and the other villain is much too dangerous to attack at close range." He explains. "I'll make you an ice wall for protection from any attacks before we get into the corridor again. Then, you need to use your quirk."

   "We are still waiting for you to come out!" Toga calls out.

   Todoroki puts his hands out. "Okay, we're coming out now."

   I roll my eyes. "This is pathetic." I mutter as I do the same. 

   "It's the best plan we have though." Cherry replies. Everyone follows suit and takes one step out before Half N' Half activates his quirk and a wall of ice cuts us off from the villains. Then, we are all bolting back into the corridor because none of us want to be fried alive. Cherry sits down on the floor and coughs uncontrollably as soon as we are away from the villains while Icyhot guards the door. We only have to wait about a minute until we hear Dunce Face making his dumb haywire noises. We all step out of the room to see Toga and the other villain lying on the floor. Cherry walks over to Kaminari to check on him. "Hey there, Kaminari. How are you feeling?" He sends her two thumbs up. "Great. Aoyama, can you make sure that he doesn't get lost while we figure out what we are going to do?"

   Sparkles nods. "Wi."

   "Now, where do we go next?" Icyhot wonders. "This place is a maze of hallways."

   "There has to be a map somewhere on one of these walls." Cherry says. "I mean, kids come here all the time and kids are always getting lost." We look around for a few minutes but find nothing.

   "I remember the way here." Aoyama says. "Well, not perfectly, but I think I can get us out of here with what I do remember."

   "Great!" Cherry exclaims before falling into another coughing fit.

   "Aoyama and I will lead the group, Kaminari will follow us, and Bakugou and Ellowyn can hold up the back." Todoroki says. "Bakugou, do me a favor and make sure she doesn't cough up a lung back there."

   "Don't worry about me!" She chokes out. "I'll be fine." I sigh and walk over to her. I grab ahold of the end of her skirt and rip a strip of the fabric off. "What was that for? I just had this made!" I take her hand into mine and wrap the silky cloth around her stab wound. "Oh. Thanks."

   I roll my eyes. "Let's go."

   We begin to make our way through the maze and Cherry seems to be not getting any worse. We walk in mostly silence until about ten minutes later when she exclaims, "Stop!"

   Icyhot turns around to face us. "What's wrong?"

   "I know that you guys want to go right, but there's a group of people to our left. I don't know who they are, but I can sense them moving around in the darkness. It might be our classmates."
