Chapter Forty-Eight

Ellowyn's POV-
   The next few days are hell, just as Aizawa promised. Every day, I do quirk training followed by hours of sparring against someone I've never fought before followed by even more quirk training before going to bed just to wake up and repeat the whole process. I'm exhausted. But also very satisfied. I can see myself improving. I can feel myself getting stronger.

   "Alright everyone, your final quirk training is over. With that said, you have all shown incredible improvement throughout your time here. This camp was hard work, but you all made it through. Good job, students. Now go get some dinner, pack your bags, and be ready to leave on time tomorrow morning."

   "Fuck, I'm so ready to go home." Katsuki mutters as we head inside for dinner.

   "Do you have any plans for the rest of the summer?"

   "I'm just going to stay at the dorms and train some more. And I need to pay my parents a visit once I get back. What about you?"

   "I need to visit my parents too." I feel nervous as I ask, "I was actually wondering if you would like to come with me?"

   "To America? To meet your parents?" He seems a bit shocked.

   "Yes. I was on the phone with my mom before we left for camp and she offered to pay for your flight if I wanted to invite you. Of course, it wouldn't be immediately after we get back and we would only stay for a few days and I don't mind talking to your parents and-"

   "Cherry." He says to cut off my rambling as he takes my hand in mine. "Yes, I'll go with you. But you have to come with me to visit my parents. My mom is going to fucking kill me if I show up without you. I swear, she likes you more than me or some shit."

   I smile to myself as I say, "Okay. We can figure out all the details tomorrow." As we approach the dining hall, I add, "I'll be back soon. I'm just going to go freshen up in my room real quick."

   He nods. "Okay, I'll save you a plate."

   I practically swoon when he stops me to give me a kiss on the forehead before letting me go again. As I walk away, I can't help but get excited for our summer break to actually start. I'm so glad he agreed to come with me to visit my parents. I don't know how I would handle being so far from him. I would literally be on the other side of the world. And if there was an attack on the dorms while he was there and I was in a different country? I don't think I would ever let him out of my sight ever again.

   I'm about halfway to my room when my thoughts are interrupted by a very familiar voice saying, "Well, if it isn't the one and only Ellowyn Sallow."

   I look to see Monoma and two other kids from class B standing in front of me. "Hey...what's up?"

   "What's up? What's up?!? What's up is I promised you that you would pay for all the shit you did to me at the ball and I really don't think I've had the chance to repay you until now."

   "Come on, Monoma. Don't do this right now. I'm starving and tired and do not have the energy for this."

   "Oh, I'm sorry. Have I inconvenienced you? Kind of like you did when you did that interview and ruined my life?"

   "I just told them the truth about what happened that night at the ball. If you hadn't acted like such a jerk, maybe you wouldn't be dealing with the consequences right now."

   "I don't think you understand. Most of my classmates refused to speak to me after that interview came out. I was shunned and I'm still working to get their trust back completely. I deserve an apology."

   I shrug. "I can't say I feel bad for you. Maybe just don't say the f-slur? Yeah, thats your bad. I won't be apologizing."

   His glare turns ice cold as he says, "You still don't understand. Maybe if I show you what it's like to be isolated, you'll finally get it."
