Katsuki's POV-
"Before I dismiss you, I want to announce that we have yet another exciting event coming up." Aizawa says in his usual monotone voice. "The UA Ball." Some of my classmates start whispering to each other excitedly while many others groan in annoyance. "Now, this is an extremely important moment for all of you because this ball is not a normal school dance. It could be a defining moment for each and every single one of your careers, since pro heroes are also invited to this dance to talk with UA students. Think of it as another scouting opportunity. The dress code is formal so I suggest that each and every one of you get your shopping done soon. You will all want to look your best for this. This can be a great opportunity if you allow it to be." He pauses for a moment to allow everything to sink in. "Okay, everyone except for Todoroki, Bakugou, and Midoriya, you are dismissed. I have something else I need to talk about with you three.""Meet you in the lunch room, Bakubro!" Shitty Hair shouts as he leaves. Cherry just waves as she walks out after him.
Aizawa waits for the door to close after they leave. "Now, the dance has one more requirement of you three."
"What would that be, sir?" Deku asks.
"Well, every year at the beginning of the UA Ball, the big three of each hero class introduce the dance."
Icyhot pales. "Oh."
"What? What does that mean?" I ask.
"That means that not only will you three have to be the first people out of your entire class to dance, in front of a crowd of strangers nonetheless, but also that you will have to find a date to dance with."
"No fucking way."
Aizawa shoots me a glare. "Language, Bakugou. Now, this also means that you boys and your dates now have mandatory dance classes after school on Saturday mornings from nine o'clock to twelve o'clock, congratulations. Now, get out of my class and go find a date while you eat lunch."
...
Cherry jumps when I slam my lunch tray down on the table in between her and Shitty Hair before sitting down. "What's wrong?" She asks.
I just shove food into my mouth in response so Icyhot says, "Mr. Aizawa told us that we have to introduce the dance at the UA Ball, and we also have to find a date to do that with."
"It's bullshit." I grumble.
"Well, look at the bright side. It shouldn't be too hard for you to find a date, right? I mean, since you are one of the Big Three." Cherry says.
I glare at her. "I don't want to date any of these extras. I have better things to do."
Cherry is about to respond to me when she gets tapped on the shoulder by some extra from support studies. "Hi Ellowyn, I'm Nakamura, we met when I helped build some of your costume. Anyways, I was wondering if you would you like to go to the dance with me?"
Her face lights up like a Christmas tree as she politely turns him down and he walks back to his lunch table looking defeated. Mina gives her an exasperated look. "Are you really not going to say yes to any of these guys? You've already had four boys come up and ask you out!"
She just shakes her head and hides her face in her hands. "I don't want a date, Mina!"
"Four guys have asked her out already?" Deku asks. "Wow."
"Yeah! You should've seen her reaction when the first guy asked." Shitty Hair laughs. "She completely froze up and was even more red than she is now. I think she may have even been shaking."
