Ellowyn's POV-
On the Friday of my first week back at school, Aizawa comes into class with an announcement instead of his usual orders to put on gym clothes and get ready to train. "Okay, before we begin class, we need to discuss your first class project of the year. Your assignment is to write a report detailing how you would deal with a given situation. You will be working in pairs and each pair will be assigned a random but severe situation." Everyone in the room is already looking towards their friends with excitement. "You will be allowed to choose your partner but choose wisely. This assignment will be important to your overall grade. Now, I'll give you all of today's class time but it's due Monday when you come into class, so you will probably have to spend some of your weekend working on this." Everyone groans in protest. "Now, stop wasting your time complaining and get started."

As soon as he says that, everyone is running towards their friends and Aizawa is crawling back into his sleeping bag. I look around to see who I should work with. Todo is already working with Midoriya, which was totally expected. Mina is working with Sero. So that leaves only a few people who I really know who haven't gotten a partner yet; Kaminari, Kirishima, and Bakugou. I hear Kirishima and Bakugou talking behind me and it sounds like they are going to partner up but then Kaminari comes over and asks Kirishima to work with him and he immediately complies. "Sorry, Bakugou!" He says as he runs off with Kaminari.

"Whatever, Shitty Hair."

I turn around in my seat with a smile. "Guess it's just me and you, partner."

He sighs. "Well, hopefully you have a better work ethic than any of those extras because I don't want to be working on this all weekend."

I hold a hand over my heart in fake surprise. "Wow, so I'm no longer one of the extras? What an honor!"

"Shut up, Cherry."

Iida walks by and hands me a packet of paper. I read the title out loud. "Situation Three: Retrieving A Hostage."

Bakugou takes the papers from my hands and starts reading over the details. "A bastard bank robber takes a civilian hostage after his partner bails on him and demands that the police give him a get-away plane out of the country and 20,000 dollars in addition to what he's already stolen. If we give him what he wants, he says that he'll give us back the civilian unharmed."

I think for a moment. "I think that he's bluffing. This person doesn't show any sadistic traits. They could've already harmed the citizen as a way to make us give in faster, which would've been way more effective but they didn't. On the other hand, we don't know what they'll do in a truly desperate situation, so we have to take this very slowly. No sudden moves or half-baked plans or we'll scare them into fight or flight mode."

Bakugou scoffs. "Whatever. What do you think we should do then?"

"Well, we obviously can't give in to their requests."

"Damn right."

"But we can't make this seem like the last resort either. We need to provide other options. Any ideas?"

Bakugou smirks. "Sneak in through the back and kill him."

"No, no, no! We need a plan A. Nothing violent yet."

He huffs in annoyance. "Fine. We can have him sell-out his partner for the chance at a reduced jail-time instead."

"That's a great idea!" I quickly flip through the pages of the packet to find personal information on the criminal. "He is apparently super close with his wife and especially his daughter. If he runs away, he'll never see them again. We only have to bring them up and offer more visiting hours as well, then he'll most definitely give in. But that could fail, so onto plan B."
