Bakugou's POV-
I look into the water to see blood. I curse under my breath as I climb into the water and pull Cherry above the surface. Half n' Half helps me pull her out of the pool and set her down on the ground. Then he checks her pulse and breathing while saying, "Check for her injury.""I'm not stupid." I retort but do as he says anyways. "She definitely has head trauma."
"She's unconscious." He says. "Her pulse and breathing are both slow. We need Recovery Girl."
"I'll go get her." Glasses says before running off.
I go over to her bag and grab the towel inside of it. "This might help stop the bleeding. The gash isn't too deep, so she'll be fine as long as we take care of her until Recovery Girl gets here." I say as I press it up against the back of her head where the injury is. Her eyes open just barely and she inhales sharply due to the pain. She tries to sit up but I push her back down. "Stay still. You'll make it worse."
"Hey, I have to go deal with the one who threw her in. Somethings wrong with him." Icyhot says. "Watch her."
"What do you think I'm doing?" I snap.
Cherry looks up at me. "Bakugou?"
"Yeah, it's me." I look to see that her pupils are uneven.
She blinks rapidly. "I see two of you." Her speech is slurred.
"Not surprising."
"What happened again?" She's obviously very confused.
"Some asshole threw you into the pool and you hit your head."
Her eyes widen as she remembers. "Oh, right. You should probably check on him."
"Oh, believe me, I will. I'll make sure his head has a dent in it as well when Recovery Girl comes to get you."
"No, I used my quirk on him."
I sigh. "Don't worry about it. Todoroki is dealing with him right now."
"Okay." She closes her eyes.
"Keep your eyes open."
"I'm tired." She mumbles.
"I don't give a fuck. You can sleep when Recovery Girl is treating you. Right now, I have to make sure that you don't fall unconscious again. Just keep talking to me."
She opens her eyes. "Fine."
I notice that's she's shaking. "Are you cold?" She nods. "Hey, Deku, bring me my towel."
He runs and grabs it before handing it to me. I place it on top of her and use my quirk to warm my hands before holding hers. "Thanks." She frowns. "I'm sorry."
"What are you talking about?"
Her bottom lip trembles as if she's about to cry. "Tsuburaba. He wasn't trying to hurt me. He just reminded me of someone who did. He didn't deserve to get hurt."
"Fuck that."
She looks up at me in surprise. "But I-"
"I said fuck that. You told him to stop and he didn't listen. It's his own fault."
She smiles just barely. "Thanks." My hand slips underneath her head to apply more pressure to the wound and she groans in pain. "What's taking so that nurse so long?"
"It's Saturday, so she isn't at the school today. She's either out doing hero work or at home. Glasses went to find her."
"Iida?"
I nod. "He will be back soon."
She sighs in exhaustion. "Okay then."
"So, what were you talking about when you said that Tsuburaba reminded you of someone who hurt you once?"
"Long story."
"We have time."
"I don't talk about it...with anyone. It's not personal."
"Okay. What do you want to talk about?"
"I heard that you got kidnapped."
"Where did you hear that from?"
"Tsuburaba." I'm going to fucking kill him.
"Yeah, last year. The League of Villains wanted me to join them."
"What did you do?"
"I told them to fuck off!"
She laughs hysterically. "Only you could say that to villains that could've killed you at any time."
"Hey, stop laughing so hard, you're going to hurt yourself more."
Finally, she begins to calm down. She is still smiling brightly though. "Must've been scary though."
"Not really."
"Bullcrap. I can see it." She mumbles as her eyelids fall half-way closed.
"Again, how old are you?" I retort. "It's pronounced bullshit."
I don't even know if she heard what I said. "I'm really tired."
I look up to see Recovery Girl finally making her way towards us, right on time. "That's okay. Recovery Girl is going to take care of you now."
"Okay." She says quietly.
"Move out of my way!" Recovery Girl shouts as she walks up to us. "Bakugou, pick her up and follow me. Kirishima, make sure to apply pressure to the wound using that towel. Todoroki, is that young man okay?"
"He's fine." Half n' Half responds and I carefully pick Ellowyn up. Kirishima rushes over from a few feet away to help me.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt her." Tsuburaba says.
Just as I'm about to say something, Icyhot beats me to it. "Shut up. She told you to put her down. You should've fucking listened, stupid bastard."
"Sho!" Deku says as he walks over to us. "You have to calm down."
"Yeah, you never get like this bro." Pikachu comments. "Just relax."
"Could you all just shut up? We have places to be and things to do." Recovery Girl says. Everyone goes quiet. "Now, Kirishima, Bakugou; follow me. The rest of you must go back to your dorms. Iida, I trust you to lock the pool gates once everyone is gone."
As we leave, I hear murmuring from behind us. "Poor girl."
"Hope she's okay."
"That's why it's important to be safe near pools."
"Poor Tsuburaba." Wait, what? I turn just slightly to see that it's Monoma talking. "I heard him say that he thought she was hot. Too bad, he definitely won't be getting anything from her soon."
I turn sharply so that I can go beat Monoma's face in but Kirishima turns me back around. "Just let it go. He's a douche."
"But-"
"Let. It. Go." He says sternly.
I huff. Fine then. I'll let it go...for now.
