Prompt: Niall is sick and Louis helps him. Louis is in love but Niall doesn't know.

NOUIS

It was a typical Wednesday afternoon. One direction was rehearsing for their upcoming show for The XFACTOR UK. They were rehearsing their Live While Were Young and just doing what they normally do in rehearsals. They were goofing around just being their normal selfs. Niall was dancing like and idiot, Harry and Zayn were having their own conversation, Liam and Louis were just laughing at nothing. 

They were singing Nialls part for about the 10th time in a row. Everytime Niall would run out of breath. It was a short solo so none of the boys knew why Niall couldn't finish.

"One last time Niall. Take a deep breath."

Niall sucked a huge gush of air. The music started and Niall started to sing, "Yeah we'll be doing what we do jus------"

Niall began to feel light headed. He couldnt breath. He doesn't rememeber anything. Soon enough the blackness took over him.

All the other boys watched in horror as they witnessed their favorite irish lad faint to the ground. They rushed to his side. Louis was the first to scoop the younger boy into his arms. Louis watched as Nialls eyes rolled to the back of his head. 

"CALL A FUCKING AMBULANCE" Zayn screamed.

"Niall wake up. C'mon Niall you will be fine. Niall please..." Louis begged the blond haired boy.

"What is it doctor? Is he going to be okay? Please tell me he's alright?" Liam asked. All they boys eyes are filled with tears.

"He had a heart failure. He needs a heart transplant. Soon. He has been put on a transplant list, but if his blood pressure gets below the 70's before he can get a new heart..."

"Wh-whats gonna happen?" Louis whispered.

"He will die."

All of the boys gathered in Nialls room. They were horrified at the scene. Niall was hooked up to so many machines and had so many tubes hooked up to him, that they could barley recognize the once happy boy. 

Louis felt his body break at the sight of the boy. Will he ever get the chance to tell Niall he is in love with him now? 

Liam was the first to Nialls side, "Niall, hey buddy please wake up for a second."

Nialls eyes fluttered open, but only for a breif second, "It hurts to talk." Niall whispered  barley loud enough for any body to hear. Soon all the boys were comforting Niall.

"Dont talk then Ni."

Niall just nodded.

"You need a new heart Ni, dont worry. We will find you one and you will get better I promise" this time ti was Zayn to speak up.

Every head besdies Nialls snapped when they heard a loud beeping noise come from Niall hear monitor. They saw his blood pressure drop to 72. Their eyes widened in horror. Niall needed a new heart and fast.

The next week went by slowly. No new hearts were available and Nialls blood pressure stayed at a unhealthy 71. Louis stopped by always just holding Nialls hands and whispering that everything would be alright even though he knew it might not. Suddenly the familar loud beep sounded and Nialls blood pressure declined to 70.

A doctor rushed in and shot something into Nialls arm.

"He needs a new heart by tomorrow or I'm sorry I don't think he is going to make it."

Louis let tears flow down his cheeks. He would not let the love of his life die, even if it meant having to gi....Louis got an idea. A horrible terrifying terrific idea. Louis was the perfect match.

"We will find him a heart. That I promise."

The doctor looked worriedly at Louis. He just gave him a sad nod and walked out.

"Hey Ni, just listen to me alright, can you do that?" Louis asked crouching down to Nialls side grabbing his hand intertwining thier fingers.

Nialls breathing was very un even. He could hardly nod.

"I love you Niall, like Im in love with you. You are the most perfect person on this planet and I fell for you so hard. We found you a knew heart ya know? You're gonna live babe."

Much to Louis surprise Niall started to speak, well more like barley whisper, "I love you too Lou. After the surgery we will be together."

Louis squeezed Nialls hand a smidge harder, "I will always be with you. I love you."

Niall didn't reply nor did Louis expect him too. Louis was not going to let his love die.

Although Niall was hurting he could still hear everything around him. He had heard Louis confess his love and finally got to tell Louis he loved him to after a year of secretly love him. He wanted to smile but it hurt.

Niall heard a big bang. He was terrified about what it could be. He heard a lot of screaming. Maybe he was going to die. It seemed a lot better than being in this pain but he wanted to hold on, just for Louis.

Niall opened his eyes for the first time in weeks. The surgery must have worked. He felt good, well not good but better than he had been. He looked around his room. He saw his family and the boys. He smiled. Smiling felt good. They all smiled back but it seemed fake and forced. Niall saw tears in all of thier eyes. Why?

There was somthing missing...Louis.

His first words after his surgery were, "Wheres Louis?", his voic was hoarse and it cracked.

Then everyone burst into tears. Niall was confused beyond belief. His surgery went well so why were they all crying?

"I have something for you hun." his mom said.

She passed Niall a note. He slowly opened it. He recognized Louis hand writing. He slowly gathered tears.

Hello love. I told you I would always be with you. My heart only beats for you now. I love you so much, I wouldn't watch you die.
