War's like a dance they say.
And death like ballet
Pirouetting into decay.
War's like a waltz they say.
Perfectly timed assaults
To keep the enemy at bay.
And the battlefields all aglow
You'd swear you're in a show
But for dead friends you know.
If you come home, though
They'll never hear what you say.
Tell them of empty eyes
And they'll hear of ballet.
But dancing war is not
And neither is it play
Still, they dream of the production
While you only know the pain.
War's like a black hole you say.
You go in one side
But you'll never come out again.
