Kristy sat in the living room watching TV scrolling through Instagram. Taking a chip from the bowl she glanced at the TV seeing what's going on. As she watched the news, the phone rang. Getting up, Kristy glances at the ID number.
Someone who she doesn't know of. Turning off the ringer, Kristy sat back down on the couch chomping on the chips.
The newscaster said how there are killings all around St. Albert. "The killer is on the move to Camrose, or the direction of Camroes. If you're in that area, start immigrating out as you could be in danger . . ."
Kristy didn't listen, didn't care that there's a psychopath on the loose. Changing the channel to Friends.
Setting the phone on the coffee table and resting her feet on it, Kristy laid back and relaxed. Although school was tomorrow she wanted to get her relaxation in before hardworking nonstop tomorrow. Thinking about it made her gag as if she's got a test. Laughing along with the audio or live audience in the background, the doorbell rang.
Moaning, her strategy was to leave the interrupting person hoping that they would leave. They rang the doorbell once again.
Hoping they would leave.
Waiting for five minutes thinking they had left.
But she was so wrong.
The doorbell started ringing repeatedly. Getting annoyed Kristy jumped from the couch sulking to the door furious.
"I'm coming!" she yelled over the irritating sound of the bell. Opening the door no one is there. "Hello?" she yelled.
"Hello!'
No answer.
"Pesky kids playing ding dong ditch." Kristy sneered as she slammed the door. Walking back to the living room, the doorbell rang again. Slumping back to the door ready to yell at these people. Ripping the door open no one was there once again. Walking out of the house, she stood on the driveway scanning around the neighborhood.
There was no one near her home.
Walking back inside, she locked the door walking back to the living room. Turning off the TV, Kristy left the living room bringing the chips with her bedroom. Getting freaked out, Kristy locked herself in her room getting ready for bed. Laying in bed eating chips was a way for her to take her mind off of the ding dong ditch.
Just as she got comfortable, a knock on her bedroom door appeared.
"Who's there?" Kristy almost stuttered.
Another knock.
Kristy opened the door and the lights flickered in the hallway. At the end by the stairs is a shadow with glowing white eyes.
"I've called the police!" Kristy warned the shadow. The figure walked slowly to her as she backed into her room shoving her dresser and desk against the door. Not even a second and the dresser and desk flew crashing into the wall as the door flung open. The shadow levitated in her room. Scrambling to get the phone from the holder, punched 911 and called. She screamed and kicked until the shadow grabbed onto her leg and dragged her away into darkness dropping the phone.
"911, what's your emergency? Hello. . . . hello."
