Sitting back on the couch with my chromebook open, I checked my emails in case my parents sent any pictures. Instead, I got an email from Mason. Clicking the email a doc popped up with a link and what looks to be a paragraph of some sort. Before clicking the link I read the paragraph.

It seems to be a summary of the link. Wanting to know what the long story is, I clicked on the link where it brought me to a page where a long story showed. I read it to the bottom. It shocked me how this is so similar to the disappearance of Melody and Kristy. This actually explains a bit. There are people who went missing without a trace.

But who is doing this?

I still have unanswered questions flowing around in the back of my mind. I emailed Mason back.

'Thanks for the link to this website. I still have unanswered questions that I still want answered. If you can help me that would be great.'

Pressed send and there goes my email, hopefully he can get back to me soon. Did he send this to anyone else or not?

It didn't take long for him to email me back. I opened the email and read the couple sentences.

'You're welcome and don't worry, I still have some questions but I may have your answers. Email me and I will answer for you as best as I can.'

I emailed him the questions that I have so far.

'What is doing this to our friends? What's happening? Where did they go? Are they dead?'

He won't blame me for acting like this as they are my friends, and his. I felt worried sick. My parents won't be home until the end of the month, two of our friends have gone missing mysteriously. I'm worried as I don't know who's next.

For all I know, I could be next.

The thought of it sent shivers down my spine.

I then realized that I read a story a couple weeks back about a girl accepting a dare from the devil, the next day she disappeared. Something isn't right as three kids went missing mysteriously and a girl disappeared from the devil himself. Then again, that story is just a creepypasta. But who knows, it could be true?

I relaxed on the couch panicked by all of this.

Just then, a roar of laughter hits my ear. It's like it's right beside me. Jumping out of my seat like a cat having a bath, I scan the room with laughter still peaking. Then the laughing rang in my ears as it echoed through the home. Crashing is heard all over the house, plugging my ears. I screamed.

Then it stopped. Sweat rolled down my numb and shaking body. My knees buckled out and fell to the ground all shaken up. Tears streamed down my face. Just then whispering started filling my head. Then a croaky voice talked.

"You should have done the dare like I've asked you to. Now your friends have to pay the price."

It stopped.

I cried.

I don't know how long I cried for . . . but I did.

Soon as I settled down, my phone rang. Looking at the ID, Mason called.

I sniffled a hello.

"Hey, is everything alright?"

"Yeah . . . Everything is alright."

"No you're not, tell me what's wrong?"

"Okay, but you can't tell a single soul about this." I began telling him the story of my experience and those words pinned in my head.
