"What!" I screamed in shock. Everyone turned to stare at me like there's something wrong. "What?" I turned my voice down by five notches. Justin, Jane, Mason and I were at school with no Hudson.
"Yes, on the news this morning, that three kids, Jack, Jessie, and Chad have gone missing. They didn't go home and their parents were worried, they phoned Hudson's place. His parents came home to his disappearance.
"He called me yesterday to come over and I said I was busy."
"What if something took him away just like the other two?"
"Probably," Justin replied. The bell rang and it was time for class. Halloween is one week away from today, Jane is still having that party which won't be good. Mason and I head to our class. This day felt very slow.
At the end of the day, we met up behind the trees. We talked of how this is going to end, and who could be next. Mason told the other two what could happen on Halloween night if we don't find a way to stop this.
"How do you know?" Jane asked.
"It's called the internet."
She nodded her head.
Three have disappeared from out group, now there's only four of us. "So what are we going to do?" Jane asked. "You can't have our party that's for sure," Justin replied.
"I have to, everyone will be showing and I can't say 'oh sorry guys, the party is cancelled because there is a demon roaming around capturing souls.' Like no, they won't believe me. So I have to have it."
"Well it won't be the safest and smartest option, but we will have to do and try to get everyone to safety," Mason replied.
Lizzy came to us with the two girls trailing behind her like dogs. "What do you want Lizzy?" Jane sneered.
"What I want is to know what y'all are talking about?"
"Go away Lizzy, no one wants you here," I hissed.
"Well excuse me but I have right to know. My father will know about this and get you suspended from school? Is that what you want?"
We gave her the deathly glare.
"Mason deary, would you please tell me what you're talking about?"
"How about . . . no."
"Alright, you win. This isn't over." Lizzy stormed away with her head held high like she ruled the school. Her little 'friends' followed behind with her arms across their chest and head held high as well. Man she bugged me.
"Lizzy's like a cold sore that keeps coming back and won't go away," Justin sneered.
"Anyways, what are we going to do?" Justin asked.
"I don't know but I'll find a way," Mason replied.
I felt a presence near me. Mason looked my direction but not at me, I turn around seeing Charlie. It seems that Mason and him are having a conversation to themselves. I turn my attention back to Jane and Justin so it's not suspicious. "I've got to go, my father will be wondering where I am." Mason left with Charlie. We now were the only ones at the school since everyone left. But something caught my eye.
Whether someone.
I told them that I have to leave from the amount of work I have. Which is partly true. I wander around the school where the figure had stood. I see someone in pink scooting away from me. I run around the corner setting my bag down and booked it chasing the figure around into the parking lot. The figure stood behind a car watching me. I walked towards it being stupid with no one else with me.
If I die well at least I'll be remembered. Once I got around the car, the figure has disappeared. Walking back very disappointed, I snatched my bag and went home since there was no use going back to my friends.
Walking home in silence I had nothing to do. Hudson is now gone with three others who I have no idea who they are. Once this is over and if we all survive, I am never playing another paranormal game again, let alone think of one. This will give me nightmares for life.
Getting home, I dropped my bag at the door not bothering to set anything away. Not even getting into the living room, the phone rang. I answered since it's my parents.
"Hey sweetie, Just checking up on you."
"Hey mom."
"Listen, I can't talk long since ince we are busy."
"Oh, okay."
"Yeah, so I'll talk to you later."
She hung up before I got to say goodbye.
