As he trailed behind them staying away ten feet behind them. He kept his down glancing up ever so often to make sure they didn't vanish. Mason had looked over his shoulder earlier to find Hudson gone and not to his class. He slipped away from the group to see him and Hailey talking outside. Once he knew they were coming back, Mason crept away without being seen.

Now he became suspicious of what they did at lunch and now he's following him to her home. He knew. The gut told him so.

It took a long walk back to her place. They entered the house when he caught up to them and hid behind the garage. He waited a few minutes before glancing around the area so no one knows he's snooping.

Mason made his way to the backyard jumping the fence. He searched through the windows to see them both sitting on the couch discussing something that he couldn't understand. After some time, he left the house as they would just sit there talking.

Mason jumped over the fence walking back to his home.

Walking silently on his own, he felt a presence behind him. Feeling the coldness of a spirit. Not bothering to glance, he brushed it away. Mason continued to walk down the sidewalk getting to the lights. He pressed the button and waited for the light to turn. Meanwhile, he felt the same coldness as before. Sighing and said, "Charlie, what do you want?"

"Aww, I was trying to scare you."

"Nice try buddy, but you can't scare me."

Charlie appeared beside him. His tall white figure only appeared to him no one else. His skinny figure showed his bones. Greasy black hair is so greasy, it feels slimey to Mason. The clothes he died in were ripped. His jeans ripped like they were in style, his wite T-shirt is dirty looking.

"You should have seen her face. I scared the hell out of her."

"Uh-huh."

"I started laughing like a child, and moved her phone when they weren't looking."

The light turned as Mason tried to drown his squeaky, rough voice out. "Mason. Come on, Mason. You know your dad hates it when you ignore me."

"I know, Charlie. That's why I love ignoring you." Mason let out a laugh. Charlie caught up to him in shock. A fun shock. He jokingly laughed.

"Okay, Mason. I need to tell you something. So I know you couldn't hear, but Hudson and Hailey are going to murder someone just for Satan's approval. Then tomorrow night, they will visit him and tell him what they have done."

"Hmm. Okay then."

Mason glanced at Charlie who was looking down as he walked, almost levitating off the ground. "So, how do you feel about that?" he asked.

"You want the truth or the lie?"

"Truth."

"I don't like how he's doing that. Making them kill an innocent person? No."

They turned into a neighborhood and walked a long road of houses before turning onto a driveway. Mason's driveway. He unlocked the front door of a navy blue home with the first floor, on the right is the stairs to the upstairs and beside it is the stairs to the downstairs. He set down his bag on the bench. Charlie slammed the door behind him as he jumped in excitement for what he's done. His mother came into the kitchen all warm with her flowery apron on.

She held her arms wide to give him a hug.

"Hey, Mason darling."

"Hey, mom." he said, giving her a side hug. Being a foot taller than her, he crouched down. Her knotty brown hair itches his face. She wears old fashioned clothing which he doesn't mind, but it's the twenty-first century, not the nineteen hundreds.

"Why's your hair all messed up?"

"Been busy that I haven't had the time to brush it."

"Oh."

Mason took his lunch and emptied it. "Can you go tell your father that dinner is ready? Charlie, I need you to help me."

Mason left the kitchen running downstairs to his father's "office." Knocking on the door, he heard rustling inside, then heard a grumble of "come in."

Opening the door slowly, Mason slipped in unnoticed until his father glanced back from his desk full of papers as he's on his computer. "Dinner's ready."

"Alright."

Just as he's leaving the room his father called behind him. "Mason, come here for a sec." It wasn't a question as it was a command. Mason knows to do what his father said, or there'd be consequences. "Yes?"

He approached his father with concern and awareness. "You see those two kids?" he said, pointing to the screen where two kids layed in bed together, looking like they were sixteen years old.

"Yes?"

"You see, they aren't taking cautions or what the consequence is. The thing is, is that they don't care about schooling or where they will be in the near future. They won't get a good job and will be on the streets or living in their parents basements. Now you kid, you are going to be great at school, graduate and get a good job so you can move out and live on."

Mason nodded in agreement.

"Now, let's go eat some of your Mom's delicious pot pie." He stood up and they both walked up to eat dinner.

Mason sat down in a chair beside his father in his office after dinner. Helping his father clear his desk from the papers, he shoved them in the corner of the room. Relaxing in the chair, his father showed him the security in people's houses. Soon enough they got to Hailey's home where they both plan to plot a murder tonight.

They heard everything as Hailey and Hudson scurried around the house as they scavenged for the things they needed. "Aren't you glad that you're not them?"

"Yeah." Mason said softly.

His father continued to watch as the two kids rushed around the home, as his father laughed like they were mice scurrying around the home looking for food.

Mason noticed the smirk on his face.

"What are you thinking, Dad?"

"What am I thinking, son? What I'm thinking is how these guys will obey."
