Laying in bed that night thinking of what I was told. The thunder roared on top of me as I lay awake staring at the ceiling. Scanning the room, I saw the bloody red eyes. I grabbed my phone and flashed the light and there it stood with an evil smug smile across its face.

I get up slowly to walk to him holding out my hand. Once I got close to him, something happened. I got covered then Mason appeared as I'm encaged in his wings. Vines then wrapped around my arms, legs, ankles and stomach area. It grabbed me in all directions, ripping me apart, then Mason said in a horror deep voice, "You should have listened to me and you paid the price."

Mason opened his mouth wide, puking a black figure out. The vines let me go and I fell to the ground. He disappeared and this black, shadowy figure levitated off the ground. Screaming at me swinging his hands like claws at me, as I crawled backwards screaming.

It grasped onto my ankles and dragged me to where my other friends were and where no one else could find me.

Jolting up awake drowning in my sweat in my bed.

"I'm alive."

I couldn't remember how I got here. The last thing I remember is at Mason's and blacking out. I started to cry in pain, emotionally.

"Don't cry, it's just a nightmare."

I turned over and saw Mason laying in my bed. I was happy to see him and out of the ordinary, I hugged him. It took a second for Mason to hug back. He sat up as I hugged his lower abdomen.

"It's okay, you are safe. The demon can't hurt you as long as you are careful."

I nodded while still crying from the horror show. He wrapped a wing around me to comfort me.

"I . . . I like . . . this."

I snuggled into his chest with the warmth of the blanket and him. "How long . . . have you been here . . . for?"

"Well, I came to check on you to make sure you're okay and not creeped out- and no I wasn't watching you sleep- but you were talking, sweating and rolling around."

"Oh."

"So I tried to comfort you by cuddling you, but whatever you were freaking out."

That's probably what the vines were.

"So tell me, what was the nightmare?"

I told him everything, even though I don't remember getting here. "See, I brought you here after you passed out. But you should get some sleep now, we've got school tomorrow."

"And have the test about history."

"Yes, so get a goodnight sleep and I'll see you tomorrow."

It took me a while to fall asleep while Mason laid there until I drifted off to a deep slumber.

When I woke up with my alarm screaming at me to get up, I slapped it off with my vision blurry and fuzzy. Once my vision was clear, I noticed that Mason left in the night when I fell asleep.

Getting ready for school today, it felt longer than usual. I walked to school with a busy week ahead of me. Next week tomorrow is Halloween and we all may die. Not unless we stop it, but how?

It felt even longer getting to school. Just to make it worse, the sluggish day went by like a snail getting from one place to the other. By lunch, I sat quietly eating while the others talked. Mason sat beside me staying quiet as well, not surprised. We are pretty closer to the point where our knees are touching. It felt so long but after lunch we had our history test. Since Hudson and I went to visit one of the survivors so this should be easy for us. At least.

After lunch, I went straight to my locker and grabbed everything I needed to do the test, making my way to the classroom. My sleep is catching up to me. The bell rang as I sat down at my desk getting ready for the test. Once everyone came in and took their seats, Mr. Chronic handed out our tests once the class had settled down. We started the test and I breezed through it. Half an hour later, I completed the test handed it in.

I sat back down and read my book until the class was finished. I'm confident that I aced this test.

Walking down the halls to my locker, I got shoved by the "popular" kids. "Watch where you're going brat," Lizzy sneared.

"Yes you should watch where you're going," I snapped.

"Well, look who's standing up for themselves?"

"Oh shut up, Lizzy, you're not the greatest and no one likes you, or loves you." I finally got her right in the spot, she is speechless. "Now I suggest that you move on and don't bother me before I murder someone."

I give her the death stare before I move on doing my own thing.

Making through the day with no other nonsense, I walk home in silence, then I feel a presence near me. I look around and there is Charlie levitating off the ground towards me.

"Yes Charlie, what would you like?"

"To make you're that you're okay."

"Okay, how sweet of you."

"Plus, Mason told me what happened last night."

"Oh?" I questioned.

"Yep."

I looked at him with sad eyes not knowing what to say. Giving him the sad eyes, I just continued to walk. I didn't want to talk about it. Although we didn't talk he kept my company. When I got home I tucked my things away and sat on the couch and locked gazes with Charlie.

Finally, I spoke.

"Charlie?"

"Yeah?"

"What's . . . what's going to happen . . . to us? The friend group I mean."

"I don't know. I've been searching for Kristy and Melody since they've gone missing, but . . . haven't got a single clue of where they could be."

Tears pricked my eyes and Charlie floated to me. He kneeled down and looked straight into my teary eyes. "It's going to be okay, we will find some way to get this demon to vanish from this world."

I nodded, wiping away my tears. Halloween is only a week away so we have to think of something quick. Mason and Satan are doing the best they can."

" . . . Okay . . ." I managed to say.

"That a girl."

I giggled at his enthusiasm. "There's that bright smile that I've known since the start."

"Thanks, Charlie . . . I'm just scared for who could be next. For all I know, I could be next," I say.

"You won't. We won't let you."

"Who's we?"

"Everyone in Hell. They all know about this and the disappearance. Usually we'd be okay with this, but it's something that we don't know. We're all fighting and figuring out what's going to happen next. Our philosophy says that we all will be under control from this monster, and you'll have nothing else but to live under this thing's rules. The philosophy says that if anyone disobeys from the ruler, they'd get disintegrated from the ruler.

"And that's all of us in hell and the criminals will have a master to follow and it'll be legal for them to murder, kidnap and do what is illegal now," Charlie explained.

I sucked everything in what he just said. I nodded my head that I understood what could happen if we don't find a way to stop this and fast.

This will be something that we all have to fight for.
