"What do you think Ms. Alcantara? Have you made up your decision yet? Joining the dance club or the glee club would be good for your image. And I saw your videos uploaded by your former school. The instructor of our dance group really wanted you to be part of her dance group" Dean said.
I'm here in the dean's office for the second time. Pinatawag niya ko noon kasama si Miss Reyes, the coach, and choreographer ng dance group ng Stanford university. They offered me to be one of the members of the dance group because they've seen my potentials as a dancer.
Well, I can dance but I think I'm not that good. Napilitin lang naman ako sumali noon dahil nagback-out ang isa nilang member kaya pinilit nilang ako mag-proxy muna and that is when it started na nakita nila ang skills ko in terms of dancing.
"I'm still not sure po dean e, It's not really my priority for now. Hindi rin naman po ako ganung kagaling sumayaw" I reasoned.
Magsasalita pa sana ito ng biglang bumukas ang pinto ng office niya at pumasok doon si Miss Reyes na napangiti nang makita ako.
"There you are! Are you joining na my group?"
I smiled a bit. From all the teachers I've met. Miss Reyes is the most cheerful one among them, based on her age, para siyang kasing edad ko lang. That's why I'm comfortable when I'm with her. She's the dance mentor of STU and she's really a great dancer.
Ilang beses ng nananalo ang STU sa mga dance competitions pero nawala sila sa championship nitong mga nakaraang araw. I wonder why.
"Hindi pa po kasi ako sure ma'am."
"Why?" bumagsak ang balikat nito at biglang lumungkot ang boses.
"It's really not my priority to join any club this year po, I think I'll just focus on studying po muna" I explained. Mas lalong nanlumo ang mukha nito kaya napangiwi ako.
"But...you're my only chance to bring back the STU in rank 1. I've seen you dance in the videos and super galing mo! I want to see you dance live. Please, Frances...grant my wishes. Help STU rises again in shine" she exhorted.
I bit my lip. Bigla tuloy nagtalo ang utak ko. Wala naman sigurong mawawala kung sumali ako diba? It's just a dance after all.
"o-okay po...I'll join," I said. I sniffed when she suddenly jumps in happiness and hug me.
