When we got to the Russos door, I hesitated before knocking.

Would they even talk to me?

James sensed my uneasiness and knocked on the door. We stood there in silence, waiting to see if the door would open. When the door did open, Mrs. Russo stood there, very displeased.

"What do you rats want?" Well this is going to go well.

"Mrs. Russo, we're here because we were hoping to put aside our differences for one day so that we can honor Coles memory." I put my hand to my chest to emphasize my feelings.

"You sullied Coles memory by killing him and hooking up with his best friend. I've made it clear Lilliana, we want nothing to do with you. You are nothing but a disgrace."

"Mrs. Russo, nothing is going on between James and I. We are jus-

"SHUT THE HELL UP! You whore, you are nothing but a liar and I won't have any of it! I know that you think you can fool me, but you won't. Just because Cole planned on proposing to you and you still have the ring, does not mean you are welcome here. Get off my property before I call the cops."

She slammed the door on our faces. I looked at the ground, trying to hold back the tears.

"Let's go Lily. We can go get flowers and visit Cole." I nodded and followed him to the car.

"Lil, you can't let them bother you. She is obviously still mad and she won't open her eyes too see you are innocent because she needs someone to blame." I looked at my hands resting in my lap. James reached over with one hand and held them. I peeked up at him.

"I'm here Lily. You'll never be alone, I promise." I gave him a weak smile.

We went to the store and purchased some flowers for Coles grave. When we got there, I kneeled before his grave and closed my eyes. I pictured his face, his laugh, everything I loved about him.

I played with the grass. Tears rolled down my cheeks, I wish I were closer to him. I felt a hand on my shoulder, James.

"He's still here Lilliana." It's as if he could read my mind. I gave him a nod and wiped my tears.

We placed the flowers at the base of the headstone, biding our "I love yous," and "Goodbyes". Before getting up, I kissed my hand and placed it on the headstone.

"I'll always love you Cole." I whispered.

We left and headed back to my place. James made dinner while I watched.

How did James and Cole become friends anyways?

"Hey James?"

"Yeah?"

"How did you and Cole meet again? I never asked." He furrowed his eyebrows together and chuckled to himself.

"Well, Cole decided one day that he was going to ride a skateboard. I was just siting on a nearby bench minding my own business. Then, out of nowhere, Cole crashed right into me. He ended up knocked the bench and I over."

"I broke my arm that day. His parents payed for my medical bills. He visited me everyday while I was in the hospital, even when I got out. You could say he pressured me into becoming his friend. I don't regret it though. Cole was an amazing person." He smiled.

"So, Cole has always been a klutz and a dork?" I couldn't help but laugh. He crashed into James with a freaking skateboard. I shook my head.

"I guess so." James shrugged.

We ate, watched a movie, then James headed home. There really wasn't anything I wanted to do other than sleep. I headed to bed, thinking of all of the stupid things Cole had done.

The week passed quickly. A major surgery followed by a few simple ones. By the weekend, I wanted to just unwind.

"Please Lilliana?!" Cecil was trying to drag me out to go shopping sometime soon. "It doesn't have to be this week, but sometime soon. Please!"

"Cecil, you know how much I love shopping. Not. I'm not a shopaholic."

"I know, but it will be good for you. Get a few new dresses or something to get you all dolled up." I sighed.

"Fine. Just, not this week. Maybe in the next couple weeks, okay?"

"Ugh, Fine. But no matter what, you can't cancel on me!" I giggled.

"I won't bail on you Cecil. Promise." I meant it too. It would be nice to get out sometime soon, just not yet.

"Hey Lily?"

"Yeah? What's up?" Her tone changed from playful to serious real quick.

"Um, have you talked to James about anything special lately? Like him wanting to tell you something?" I thought real hard.

"No. Not that I can think of. Why, is something wrong?"

"Oh! No! Not all all," she was a horrible liar. I raised my eyebrows. "Um, anyways I'm going to go. Bye!" She scurried away, mumbling something to herself.

What the heck was that about? Whatever.

I finished my shift and went home. I was in the shower when my phone started ringing. I peeked out the curtain to see who it was, James.

"Hey Siri?" Nothing. "HEY Siri?" I'm going to murder that useless piece of metal. "HEY SIRI!" She still wouldn't answer.

Sorry dude, I'll call back when I'm done.

After about five minutes, he called again. HOLD ON! I rushed the rest of my shower and quickly grabbed my phone.

"Hello?" I may have been kind of irritated.

"Hey sorry, I wasn't interrupting anything was I? I just needed to ask something." I sighed. No need to be mad.

"Naw, I was just in the shower so I could respond immediately. What's up?"

"Well... do you work this Saturday?"

"No, I don't think so," Ever since I became a surgeon, my schedule was all over the place. "let me check real fast though." I went into my office and looked at my calendar.

      Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday.

      "Nope, all good. What's up?"

"Did you maybe want to hang out that day? Maybe lunch or dinner and something else?"

"Sure! Why not. What are we doing?"

"I was thinking dinner and a movie?" Dinner? What's he up to? "I don't know? I just want to do something together!"

"Eh, sure why not! Let's do it. What time?"

"How about I pick you up at four, we go watch a movie. Then, we get dinner?"

"Sounds like a plan. I'll see you then! Adios amigos."

      "Bye."

I marked it on my calendar.

Let's get this week over with so I can go have fun!
