Lilliana's POV
After staying a few more days in the hospital, I was finally discharged. Lance said he had most of my things already brought to his place but if I wanted anything else, I could go grab them. Unfortunately, he wouldn't let me go alone, so I had a maid come with me.
When he said he had already brought most of my things to his place, he wasn't kidding. Nearly all of my clothes and things that were in my dressers were gone. They did miss a few things from my bathroom like my shampoo and conditioner, along with my body wash and loofah.
I grabbed some lotion and razors. I didn't really know what to have my maid do since she had packed my things in the first place. I decided I would grab my things and hand it to her.
"Um... Mr. Moretti said that he would have us get new bottles of anything you needed. That's why I didn't pack them."
"Don't you think it's a bit ridiculous though? I literally just bought these, I am not wasting them."
"It is. I'll let you deal with it then." She let out a soft giggle.
"What's your name?" I hadn't gotten the chance to ask her yet.
"Vivian miss." Thats a pretty name.
"Please, just call me Lily or Lilliana."
I went back into the bedroom and grabbed a few pictures of my parents and I. I picked up the picture of Cole and I. I rubbed my thumb over his face.
"Who's that mi- Lilliana?" She remembered.
"Well, I don't know if he would be considered my ex-boyfriend, boyfriend or fiancé, but he was someone very special to me."
"Past tense?"
"He passed away in a car accident a few years back. When I went through his things," I pulled the necklace out of hiding. "I found this. He planned on proposing, but he never got to. I've had it since."
"I'm so sorry. It mustn't be easy. You must still love him then?" I smiled.
"I do, I always will. For the longest time I swore that I wouldn't open my heart back up, that I couldn't. However... I think I might have been wrong."
"Mr. Moretti? I'll have you know, he fancies you."
"Wha- no. I- he said we were just friends and he's right. I don't like him like that." My face was red just thinking about it. There's no way I like him like that.
I set the picture back in its place, I shouldn't hold onto him forever. He was gone after all. We finished shortly after and headed back to Lances place. It was a bit of a drive but I didn't mind. I always used car rides as a way to clear my thoughts.
"Oh, Lilliana! Mr. Moretti asked me to remind you to call your work. Since the doctor said you should take leave for a little while."
"Oh right." I had completely forgotten about work. I've been off for so long, would they even let me take more time off?
I pulled out my phone and called my supervisor.
"Ah, Dr. Eyler! I've been waiting for you to call. I'm glad we had the privilege of taking care of you. How are you feeling?"
"Much better. I'm sure you know, but Dr. Tockley said that I needed to be with someone for at least a week just in case my memories of the incident do come back. I was wondering if I could take some more time off? I know I've already taken so-
