Lances POV

I've just screwed up everything. Everything I didn't want to happen, it happened.

There was no arguing with Lana. Turning around, I headed back to my car.

"Lily please don't do this! I came all this way, please just talk it out." I turned back around to see Aiden begging Lana.

"We already talked it out Aiden, it didn't work out. I'm sorry, but your daddy needs to-

    Grrrrrr

My stomach growled so loud I think you could've been heard from space. I hadn't eaten since lunch yesterday. I was in such a rush that I didn't even eat the pizza I bought.

"Can he at least stay for breakfast before you kick him out? Please Lily?" Aiden held her hand, pouting. She rolled her eyes.

"Breakfast only. Then you leave." We all followed her back into the house.

"Um... do you want help making breakfast? I know-

"Shut it Lance. Sit down and don't touch anything." I pursed my lips and sat down at a bar stool. Aiden came and sat by my side.

"Daddy, you better do some serious work to make up to Lily!" His little voice whispered in my ear.

"As if that's wasn't obvious. How do I even do that?" I rubbed my temple.

"Lily, can I have some juice?" He looked back at me. "Bring up old times. Make her remember." He winked at me and got off his stool.

Make her remember. What do I even bring up!? There is so much I don't even know where to begin. Or what would make her laugh.

I took a deep breath. Leap of faith.

"Remember that one time when Aiden got up early before us and tried to make breakfast? It took the maids weeks to get the berry stains off the ceiling." Aiden ducked his head as all three of us laughed at him.

"Yeah, that was really sweet. How did you even get the kitchen to yourself Aiden?" She looked radiant as she smiled. My heart swelled at the sight of her. How do I make this right?

"Easy peasy, I told the maids to leave." He shrugged his shoulders. Laugher filled the room.

"Oh! Remember that time when we all ate in my room and the both of you got mashed potatoes all over the place? That was a nightmare!" Lana accusingly waved spatula at Aiden and I.

"Yeah and you ended up staying in my room that night. Not just because of the mess, but the thunder and lightning." She blushed furiously.

"Okay kid, let's go." Oliver went over to Aiden and picked him up, throwing him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Wha- no wait! Put me down!" He pounded his little fists on Oliver's back.

"Too bad. We are intruding, they need alone time kid. Lana," he smiled at her. "I'm going to take butthead to breakfast so it will be just you and Lance. And you idiot," he glared at me. "get it together." With that, he left the room.

We busted out laughing at how Aiden protested the entire time. Oliver was right though, Lana and I really did need some alone time. I stared at my hands for a moment before walking over to her.

"You snuggled up so close to me that night, as if I was the only one who could protect you. Turned out I was the one who hurt you."

"Lance, why did you leave? I want the truth, not some made up story. It's just you and I here." She's right, spill it.

"I did want to protect you however, there was something else... I was so worried that you really would forget us. That you wouldn't be the same Lana. I was scared that you would forever blame me for the scars all over your body. That you would never forgive me because I wasn't fast enough, I wasn't capable of protecting you. So in reality, I was protecting myself for what I thought was coming my way. I didn't want to leave, but I convinced myself it was the only way. I accused you of screwing my brother when I knew you weren't that type of person. I tried to push you away, push my feelings away."

"Lance," she rubbed her hands up and down my arms. "I would never blame you for the scars on my body. You did EVERYTHING you could. It's not your fault and it never will be. Even if I did loose my memories, I would find a way to come back to you. Lance, it was hell without you, I can't do that again."

"I know. I also know I've screwed up everything. If I would've just kept my mouth shut then we maybe could've gotten back together and-

"I'm not saying I want you to leave. I'm saying I want you to never leave. Arguments are a part of every relationship. There was so much confusion and tension, it was only a matter of time before an argument broke out. But I have to ask... Did you genuinely think Oliver and I were together? Even though you knew I wasn't that kind of person?" I sighed. Truth and nothing but.

"Part of me did. I knew you wouldn't have slept with him, but I did think you two were hooking up."

"No offense, he is DEFINITELY not my type." She giggled.

"I'm so sorry Lana, I can call you that now right?" I smiled sheepishly at her.

"Yes. However, as punishment for being an ass, you have to weed my flower beds and plant flowers in them. No if, ands, or buts."

"You drive a hard bargain. Can I get a kiss?" I put my arms on each side of her, trapping her in.

     "Magic words?"

"Pretty please and I'm an idiot for leaving and I will stay beside you as long as I live. I'm sorry." She smiled.

"Please would've worked but I like yours much better." She placed her hands around my neck. I leaned in, gently kissing her as I lifted her chin up. Tears rolled down my cheeks.

"How could I ever have decided to leave this?" I looked into her eyes. Desire lit up in my soul, making me crave every part of her. I greedily kissed her. "I'm never letting you go."

"You better not. I'm all yours." Those words make my heart skip a beat. I smiled, picking her up and placing her on top of the counter. She giggled. Her hands roamed through my hair, across my arms and chest. I wanted nothing but her.

My hands glided their way up her shirt, rubbing her silky skin.

"Control yourself darling." She pulled back out of my embrace. I brought my hand up, running my thumb across her bottom lip.

"And how am I supposed to do that when I haven't gotten these sweet kisses in over a year?" I ran my finger through her hair, then pulled her back in for another kiss.

"You're going to be the death of me Lance Moretti." She gasped.

"Then I guess I'll have to save you again." I rested my forehead against hers. "I love you Lana. My heart is yours."

"I love you too. You better not plan on hoping for your heart back, it's mine after all."

     "And it always will be."
