Please Don't Go

CHAPTER 19

Play song when Lilliana starts singing.
Lilliana's POV (Ten minutes prior of bumping into Lance.)

     I was on the toilet bawling. Lance was true to his word and payed me handsomely for the surgery. Over three million dollars had been deposited into my bank account.

     Who in their right mind would pay someone THREE MILLION dollars over a simple surgery? How does he even have that much money?

     Yes, I was used to being payed big sums of money, but this was too much. I wouldn't accept it. I clutched the ring around my neck and closed my eyes. I imagined Coles face, his smell, his laugh.  I imagined it all, more tears came. I had a habit of clutching the ring when I was having a rough time.

     I finally got myself calmed down enough to leave the bathroom. My eyes were still red and puffy from crying though. I walked with my head down, turning left. I immediately bumped into undoubtedly, a man. We ran into each other so hard I started to fall backwards.  His arm came around my waist, holding me mid fall.

     "Fancy seeing you here Dr. Eyler." It was Lance. I looked at him with scorn. He helped me steady myself.

     "Take it back." I looked away from him.

     "Your going to have to explain. But first," he gently lifted my chin. "why were you crying dear?

     "You paid me too much. Take it back, I don't want it."

     "Is that why you were crying? I will have you know, your eyes are a beautiful blue right now." I tried to look away, but I couldn't. It's not that he wouldn't let me, but I felt so drawn to him I couldn't turn away.

     "That's part of it. Please Lance, just take it back." He let go of me.

     "I'm sorry dear, what's done is done. However, we have more important matters to fix."

     "We?"

     "Yes," he grabbed my hand and started dragging me with him. "we need to figure something out. So please, stop resisting."

     I noticed he was taking me to the entrance doors. Is he trying to get me to leave with him? No! This is how you get kidnapped and taken advantage of!

     I tried to pull my hand loose, he wouldn't budge. I noticed a man standing at the doorway. He must be working for Lance. I need to get away.

     He stopped walking and was whispering to the man. I took advantage of my chance. His back was facing me with his legs parted just enough for me to do my thing. I kicked him so hard in the crotch.

      He let my hand go and fell to his knees, letting out a not so manly cry. I ran, I wanted nothing to do with him. His buddy burst into laughter.

     "D-don't let her get away you idiot!" His friend was soon chasing me afterwards.

     I ran as fast as I could, trying to dodge nurses and patients. I bolted into a room when I didn't see him behind me.

     "Lily?" It was Aidens room.

     "H-hey bud! I was just coming to check on you! How are you feeling?" Well now I'm stuck.

     "Okay I guess. I lost the button you gave me though. I-I really missed you so I wanted to hold the button-

     He started crying. I secretly pulled another button off of my shirt. I sat on the bed next to him.
