Katherine opened her eyes and hissed when the light hit her. She tried to move her arms only to find she was chained. Her normally black and gold eyes still held their blood red color, she looked around and still had no idea where she was but who ever had her knew all of her weaknesses. The door on the far end of the room opened and in stepped the reason she was in the room. Katherine growled and pulled against the chains that held her.
"Bruce, how dare you."
"You need to calm down, until you do you will remain here."
"He was going to kill Clark, he betrayed me. You've betrayed me."
"No he betrayed you, I'm trying to save you from yourself. Do you want Clark to see you as the monster you've tried so bad to hide."
"You have no right to bring him into this."
"He's already see part of it. Do you even know what you did at the apartment?"
"I killed the fool that betrayed me, and when I get out of here I will finish what I started."
"Until you are able to calm down you're not leaving here." Bruce told her.
"You would be amazed how long I can last."
"I've seen you long enough Katherine, you have not fed in two days. When you are weak enough you will calm."
"I will kill you Bruce."
"I won't let you." A voice said from behind him. Clark stepped into the room and looked at her.
"You too?"
"No, Katherine I love you. But you can't blindly kill."
Katherine looked at him and then toward Bruce. Both turned and left her alone.
"I can't." Clark said looking back at the room.
"Leave her for a few hours and then there is a button you can push outside the room that will release the chains. But only if you feel she is back to herself."
Clark nodded and followed him into the main part of the house.
Katherine sat on the floor, her head ached to much to care what Bruce had done, maybe he was right she needed a clear head, had she become the monster she tried so hard to hide from Clark.
The chains that held her released but she never moved, she just stay where she was on the floor, it seemed she didn't care anymore the one person she wanted to love could now be afraid of her.
"Katherine."
She raised her head and looked up at him. He walked further into the room and tentatively reached out for her. She took the hand that was offered and stood. He put his finger under her chin and raised her face to look at his, he ran his fingers over her cheeks as he looked into her black and gold eyes.
"I have never been so happy to see those eyes." He said to her.
"Did he hurt you?"
"No, no more than you being hurt because of what he did."
"I'm sorry. Where is Bruce?"
"Are you going to kill him?"
"No, I want to apologize."
"I'm right here. And I understand, now what to do about your rogue clan."
"I'll deal with it."
"Katherine."
"Clark, they are my people and I am their queen. There are laws put in place for a reason and he will not get away with thinking he can break them and live."
"Then I will go with you."
"Clark."
"Katherine you told them I was your king, I stand with my queen in all matters even these."
"Alright."
