A Fall into Darkness

His worry

Clark stood on the balcony and looked at the city below. He sighed as he thought about what had happened so far. He knew what she was, he knew she had darkness within her, but in his own way he wondered if he could handle her darkness. He smiled when he felt her wrap her arms around him.
"Penny for your thoughts."
"Thought you could read them."
"Only if I want to." She said to him.
"Really?" He asked turning and facing her.
"Yes. I'm sorry about before."
"I know, Katherine I guess it just surprised me when you were able to kill him so quickly and without remorse."
"Clark as I told you before I do have feelings but when it came to Nikolas I don't. He made me who I am and for a time him and I bathed entire villages in blood, but his bloodlust became worse than even my own. I placed a curse on him."
"A curse? You have magic?"
"I was a sorceress before I became a vampire, a powerful one, Nikolas never bothered to find out, when I felt he was going to try and destroy the world I trapped him, I never thought he would have followers. I'm sorry."
"Why?" He asked with a smile.
"I don't know maybe because I never shared everything."
"I never asked. Does Bruce know?"
"No, I don't use my magic anymore. The sun will be up soon. I need to get some rest." She said kissing him, she started to back up but he held onto her.
"What?" She asked looking into his eyes, he leaned down and kissed her deeply and lifted her into his arms and carried her back inside. He walked in and lay her on the bed as his hands moved over her body.
"Clark I am going to need to actually sleep."
"I know." He said as he slowly moving his hands down her body. Katherine placed her hands on his wrists, she flipped him onto his back and looked down into his blue eyes.
"Are you sure you want this tonight? I have yet to feed and as such will alot more vicious."
"I can take you." He said with a smile. Katherine smiled and moved her body and slid down on him, his hands resting on her hips, she moved slowly and methodically as she leaned down and kissed him deeply, he raised up and kissed her neck. She felt as her body hit a pitch and she leaned down and kissed his neck and then sunk her teeth into his neck, Katherine felt his body react as she had expected. Katherine pulled back as she felt his heart start to slow. She lay him against the pillow and slid off him and the bed. She covered him and looked toward the door.
"I'm sorry." Katherine said looking at his unconscious form. She pulled on her clothes and stepped out onto the balcony, she still had a few hours before the sun was due to come up. She needed to feed, she needed to rip something apart. She jumped from the balcony and landed on the ground almost twelve stories below.
"Does he know you are out."
"He's sleeping so my guess is no. What do you want Bruce?" She asked looking at him. Bruce took several steps backwards away from her, her normally black and gold eyes now a flame red.
"What has happened?"
"I need to feed Bruce. Simple as that. I will return to his bed before sunrise."
"Don't do anything you will regret Katherine."
"I already did. Let Clark sleep, I'll be back before dawn." Katherine said disappearing into the darkness. Katherine stalked a new prey, this young man was ripe for the taking, she tired of taking the lowlifes of the world their blood was always tainted with drugs, it made it taste strange and barely sustained her. She whispered into the wind and watched he turned and faced the direction the voice came from. A smile crossed her face as the young man came into view, he looked at her there was hunger deep in his green eyes.
"Hello beautiful." He said walking up up to her. Katherine smiled and motioned for him to come closer. He was more than willing to oblige.
"Why are you all alone handsome?"
"Waiting for a friend, but it seems I found someone to pass the time with."
"Yes you have." She said, it had been a long time since she had played with her food. Katherine reached out and touched his face, her other hand pulling him closer to her. She leaned in and kissed him deeply, her hand moving down his body rubbing against the erection he already had through his pants. His hands moved up and felt her breasts, his fingers slowly unhooking her corset so he could have better access, the black corset fell to the ground as he opened her shirt to move his hands over them, she leaned forward and kissed his neck a soft moan coming from him. She sunk her teeth into his neck as he wrapped his arms around her as he moaned with pleasure, his heart beat was slowing and she pulled back, she bit down on her wrist and pushed it to his lips. He sucked on it until she pulled it back.
"Now young one, what is your name?"
"I am Justin."
"My new pet, you will change slowly, do not wait for your friend. Return to your home and sleep until sunset. Your new life will begin. Come to me here again."
"How will I know you are here?"
"You will know. Now go." She said kissing him on the cheek.
"You love?"
"Another yes. You are my new child. Now go."
"Yes my mother." He said before almost disappearing into the shadows. Katherine looked toward the sky, the sun was nearly up, she took to the roofs and hurried back to Clark he would be waking soon.
She climbed onto the balcony and stood and looked into the apartment, Clark sat on the couch looking confused. He looked up as she entered.
'Where did you go?"
"I needed go feed. Are you alright?"
"Did you feed from me?"
"Yes, that is why I needed to leave to feed. I lost control."
"What do you mean?"
"I nearly killed you. I'm sorry."
"Its your nature. I know you didnt mean to do it."
"I didn't, you mean the world to me. I never want to hurt you. And I did."
"Not on purpose. Katherine please understand you didnt do it on purpose." He said walking up to her and pulling her into his arms.
