April gave its way to the early days of May, both Isabelle and Alexander made their way back to London safely. Alexander was still weak from the episode at the hospital, but again... it's nothing he can't handle. The plus to this is he sleeps more now. Doctor's orders that made everyone relieved. Days go by, as Alexander balances his life with Isabelle and his duties to the United Kingdom. Alexander had decided to go to Cambridge with Isabelle, for two weeks into May, promising to be back by the time Antony's birthday rolls around.
After they arrived, the two immediately headed to Alexander's old apartment. Once settled, Isabelle and Alexander agreed that they needed to visit their alma mater, the University of Cambridge, as well as enjoy the landscape, considering it was a few years since they last visited Cambridge.
Meanwhile, back home in London, Elizabeth was in charge of taking care of Alexander's dogs, as Antony has military training, while Hugo, Emily and Douglas took charge of Regius Obligatus (because where's the harm if Alexander's gone for two weeks?), and Margaret takes up lessons that cover a wide range of topics appropriate for the Royal Family.
Now, back to Alexander and Isabelle. After their little trip, so to speak, around Cambridge, Alexander and Isabelle made their way to the University on Alexander's Royal Enfield motorcycle that he had brought with him from London, where he has Regius Obligatus to thank. Once they arrived at the University, Alexander parked it in the parking lot, as both got off the motorcycle. They left their helmets there, before making their way into the university. Alexander kept stealing glances at Isabelle, smiling as they walked in, their hands intertwined with one another. Truth be told, he's a dork. They went straight to the reception. The receptionist looked up to see the two and stopped what she's doing.
"Hello, ma'am. Is it possible for Isabelle and I to have visitor passes?" Alexander asked politely. The receptionist immediately snapped from her daze and went straight to get the visitor passes. She handed it to him.
"Here you go, sir. Is there anything else that you need help with?" The receptionist asked.
"No, ma'am. That's all. Thank you," Alexander told her before walking off. Alexander gave Isabelle her visitor pass before putting one on himself. Isabelle kept looking at him before Alexander made eye contact with her and smiled.
"What?" He asked.
"So, where are we headed now?" Isabelle asked, curious about what he has in mind.
"The Headmaster's office. Let's see what they've been teaching the future generations, hm?" Alexander replied and Isabelle laughed.
"I'm sure it's all the same, dear. So why the fuss?"
"Well... I do want to meet my former professors," Alexander admitted sheepishly. Isabelle chuckled, smiling as she leaned her head on his shoulder. They walked for a bit longer in silence, until they arrived at the Headmaster's office, hands intertwined. Alexander knocked.
"Come in," the Headmaster said. Alexander smiled at Isabelle as they walked in. The Headmaster was busy reading over the newspaper as Alexander closed the door behind him as Isabelle made her way to the chairs. There was a bit of silence until the Headmaster closed the newspaper, folded into two and looked up at his visitors, only to find Alexander standing behind Isabelle, who was sitting on the chair.
"Your Royal Highnesses!" He exclaimed as Alexander smiled.
"It's good to see you too, Headmaster," Alexander replied, with a bit of cheek. The Headmaster stood and bowed, but Alexander dismissed it.
"There's no need for that, Headmaster," Alexander continued, and so, the Headmaster sat down again. Alexander sat in the chair opposite both the Headmaster and Isabelle.
