Dear Diary,
After everything that happened, security measures in Regillus Eques has ramped up quite exponentially ever since the end of August with the Nazi-Soviet Pact. Even if there had been an increase in the security measures have increased throughout the years since 1933, it was always a steady increase. To top it all off, Alexander disappeared. He never disappears off into the horizon after something has happened, or something that he is planning to do in peace and quiet, away from the reminders of what truly matters to him as the stakes are higher for him. It is like the calm before the storm. It made me realised that it might have some connection to the Inner War, but at this point in time... I cannot be as sure as I used to before the war had started. There were a lot of questions that had been raised throughout the world, especially leaders, as there was nothing that can ease their worry for the Prince of Wales's safety. Even here, at home, the fact that Alexander hasn't been seen in public for a period of time raises some public concerns.
But... despite everything that is happening at right now, I believe Alexander and Hugo has a plan. A very well guarded plan, that is. Winston and King Francois weren't even so sure to what they're planning right now, because knowing the two of them... there's probably a large portion of things that are unknown to both Winston and King Francois. I do hope that they know what they're doing. This hope is shared with everyone, apparently, it seems. Even if the majority of the people doesn't know what Alexander and Hugo are planning, they seem to get the idea that the duo would do something drastic, to a certain extent, to show their duty and valour in terms of protecting the peoples of France, Britain and Denmark. It just shows that they can go above and beyond if needs be.
However, even with all the dangers and threats of the world, there are some good things, in my opinion, that happens. Alexander's pets are used to him not being around, and now they're just following Isabelle around, knowing that she needs comfort. Or that is what I was lead to believe. I'm not entirely sure if that's the reason behind it. After all... who would take care of Isabelle now that Alexander's gone if not for his pets?
