The day I become Prime Minister upon Neville's resignation, I have never been so shocked before. 'Damn that boy,' I thought. To say the least, despite the shock, I need to focus on the current situation of the war that is currently raging on in Europe. The same day that I came to office, Germany invaded Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Regius Obligatus has prepared for this, thanks to Alexander and Absconditus Custos for sending valuable information in regards to Case Yellow. Alongside the start of the massive German invasion against the Western front, the German paratroops capture the Belgian fort Eben Emael, as well as I have been called on to form a wartime coalition government in order to fight the tyranny in Germany.

I would be in my office at headquarters that day, away from the noise, as I seem to find peace and quiet here at headquarters. As I am working on my paperwork, once in a while rereading them in order to add, change or cross out words that don't seem to go right with the current atmosphere. Every once in a while, there would be the occasional distraction from members of Regius Obligatus coming in, continuously informing me with the situation in continental Europe. A knock cuts through the silence that I have been accustomed to.

"Come in," I stated and Douglas walked in, closing the door behind him. I paid him no attention before he cleared his throat. I look up, finding him to be sitting down opposite me.

"What is it, Douglas?" I asked, slightly curious as to why he is here.

"Well... I want to talk about Alexander. I know we are worried for him but... Since you and I, alongside Emily and His Majesty, King Francois, knows him quite well - as we are the only one who knows that he's alive - do you think that there might be a slight chance that he won't make it?" Douglas replied, sounding worried as ever. I set my pen down and lean my back against the chair, looking at him.

"Douglas, Alexander knew full well of the risks before embarking the Inner War," I replied and Douglas immediately nodded, but still he looked worried.

"I know, but..." Douglas continued.

"You're worried that something might go wrong where Alexander will be dead for good. He is too proud of the fact that he will die for this nation through his duty to serve her," I stated and he nodded once more. Douglas glanced at the stack of papers on my desk before he sighed and stood up.

"Well, I will take my leave, Prime Minister. It looks like you need to attend your paperwork," Douglas told me and we both laughed before he left. Throughout the rest of the day, while working on the paperwork, I attend meetings that discuss Britain's future, as well as the nature of this war, and its future.
