Thursday 30th November 1939

Dear Diary,

November didn't really have that much going on in the war in regards to Britain. I've been carrying on with my private lessons in regards to the Constitution and all, with Antony and Isabelle helping me. Isabelle also helped me with improving my French, as it had taken her mind off of Alexander's death. It's been almost two months, and she hasn't really gotten over it. I doubt that we all have really gotten over it. I'm really worried about her. In fact, the whole family is really worried about her. Of course, like Alexander (for their similarities are quite uncanny and it's a bit creepy), she threw herself back into work after a day (or two) of mourning. But, however, deep inside, she's hurting and in mourning.

Despite all of this going on at home, everyone somehow has this fear that war will spread to the shores of Great Britain. I trusted Alexander and his judgement in regards to this. He raised the alarms and needs for a potential war with Germany under Hitler, despite facing many backlashes since 1933. But, he's now gone. Yet, I believe that even if he is gone, Regillus Eques is still alive, and operating, despite what Hitler thinks. Alexander is just someone who you count on for help. Speaking of which, I really do miss my eldest brother, and it is no doubt that he is dearly missed across the nation as well as in our memory. Alexander really does give the nation many lessons and attributes that we all - I believe - have taken close to heart, as he's someone who is really inspirational throughout the years ever since he started Regillus Eques in 1925.

Yet, even as Alexander is gone for almost two months, the pain of losing my brother is nothing compared to the pain Isabelle experiences, despite her not saying anything about it. But, I really do miss the banter in French with Alexander and the occasional discussion of novels that I've read, among a number of activities that Alexander had created that help expands my knowledge.
